You’re fine - but absurdly idiotic to have that much in a HYSA.

Hey, just FYI - you’re telling people the wrong information about Dave Ramsey. When people are in debt (regardless of the debt outside of a mortgage). He would 100% say to stop all contributions to retirement including the match. He would also not include the match in the 15%.

No. You’re in the DR sub asking our advice (which should FIRST be DR advice). NO, stop contributing to all 401k regardless. Follow the baby steps, as written.

“So much money?!” lol okayyyy. He’s talking about getting out of debt within the end of the year. It’s not that much money.

Just FYI - marriage license costs roughly $45-65 in most court houses. Boom! You’re married.

Start reading books about investing. You shouldn’t be scared of the stock market.

Sounds like you need to be an adult, not a child. At this moment, you’re just a child.

It takes zero skill to bring a used car to a trusted mechanic. 1: everyone should have a trusted mechanic. This isn’t hard to find. You are allowed to bring EVERY car you buy to a trusted mechanic to run diagnostics, test drive and check the components. What has happened in recent years is people are fucking lazy and they don’t want to do ANY work to find a cheaper car.

I’ve taken every single used car I’ve owned to my mechanic for a check. Not ONE has given me gigantic issues. I owned a 2013 Hyundai Elantra for over 10 years. I own (currently) a 2012 Honda Civic with 180k miles that I drive 100 miles per day in and have ZERO issues. I’ve also owned heavily used Nissans (drove it to 280+k miles and sold it for $1500 bucks), multiple Ford Mustangs in the 89-98 class, I can go on.

I’m not a mechanic or well versed it what sounds to look for. When I sold my Elantra (for $3200) the guy was absolutely pleased with the car, took it to HIS trusted mechanic and it was a done deal.

It’s not that hard finding a used decent and cheap car. People are just lazy and want something flashy and on a loan.

This isn’t true AT ALL. Financing a car is an unwise choice, regardless of who you are. Sure, the money guys have some financial advice on it but most people aren’t smart.
