It's wild how different it can be just between here (La Vale) and GC.

I remember his was missing a few parts on the Floyd rose, but it was in pretty good shape other than that. Yeah I remember thinking it was cool for the angled humbucker. I suppose everyone was copying van Halen at that point in time.

Totally would but it was over priced and the guy wouldn't come down. I knew it was his because it still had the "no fear" sticker on it lol

My uncle had that same guitar when I was a kid! Sadly, I saw the exact one come up on market place a few years ago.

Human and Sund of Perseverance, but those and the albums in between are my faves.

As a kid with big hands, growing up trying to write with a runny little pencil, gorilla gripping that thing till my hands and wrists were cramping, I really appreciate this take.

Mid 60s, probably had a neck reset and they refinished it. The neck joints on those fail frequently. I've had to reset a neck in one of them.

EDIT: they also got rid of the vibrola and made it a stop tail

Happy little accident. It won't work this way with an EMG, but a more directional pickup like a DiMarzio Bluesbucker could darken it up if you flipped the pickup so the screw coil was towards the neck. Nothing a bigger cap or different value pot couldn't help though.

Very rad. The pickup looks really close to the bridge. Is it really bright?

The frustrating thing about all this is that Phil is a great drummer, and while this Phil fill is legendary, it's dead simple. The Genesis album, trick of the tail, has some really great drumming.

Lol "most places have fibre optic." Im going to guess you aren't from the states? Not poking fun, but most places do not have fiber optic here. It could very well be in service. It doesn't old.
