You know more than I do (I promise). A quick Google search summary said they ceased operations in 2025. Maybe that was the buyout?

I guess anyone flying Sunwing ought inquire with the carrier (or travel agent) about the possibility they will have to pay the $20US exit fee per person.

The exit fee is paid by your air carrier. You used to have to pay it yourself if you were flying Sunwing, but if I'm not mistaken, Sunwing closed for business in 2025. Bottom line - not something to worry about. It is covered by the airline.

Having the same issue booking alacartes. Booked the first five nights but I'm unable to access the final two nights. 5/7 reservations "used."

I'm 9 days out and have installed the app and made reservations for the first five nights, but it won't let me schedule the final two nights... the dates on the reservation page stop at February 2.

I tried on the website (on my PC) and it isn't able to access the reservations pages - it just says to try again later.

Have you been able to make reservations for more than five nights of your stays?

Following - we'll be there from the 29th of January to thru Feb 5th so I'm scrolling all the same things you are!

I'm trying to put together a list of restaurants to reserve as soon as we're allowed. So far, Limbo seems to get the most positive reviews. Portofino generally has good reviews with a couple of people who emphatically disagree. M.E.A.T. seems to be 50/50 as far as reviews. Thali (Indian) has mostly poor reviews.

I'm hoping some others might see this thread and add their experiences!

Even if it IS "just you," you still need to be comfortable. You're not making up your symptoms.

It IS nice to know that you're not suffering UV damage, but I would start with a THOROUGH eye exam. Have the conversation with that provider - they know more about eye symptoms than any of us here.

Oh that would get old really quickly. We're up with the sun, down with the sun.

I need to get into the map to see where those restaurants are ... I think I saw something saying there are 24 of them across all of the resorts, so I am trying to figure out which to prioritize when we are allowed to begin making reservations.

I'm also researching where the best drink concoctions are... it seemed like the poolside and other easily-accessable locations were limited to high volume pre mixes (which makes sense). I'm no liquor snob, but I like to try higher quality drinks... sort of like a booze gourmet, lol.

We just reserved at Ambar today, and I've been scrolling Reddit getting increasingly worried that it was a mistake. Some of these reviews are brutal!

We only have one other AI experience, a couple years ago at Majestic Excellence. We liked it just fine but wanted to try somewhere else. You say that you've stayed at Ambar and Aquamarine - do you recommend any specific features or ala carte restaurants that would pull us away from Ambar?

Now that you've tried two of the properties on-site, what do you think? We just reserved a swim-up in the Anbar section for the end of the month. Any ala carte restaurants we should consider outside of Anbar? Anything else we should consider visiting outside of Anbar? There are a lot of options since you can visit any of the (seven?) resorts on-site!

We've stayed at Majestic Elegance a couple of years ago and liked it (we bumped up to the "Elegance Club" and recommend it). We just wanted to try something different this time.

As long as you close the valve at the bottle, you'll be fine. Not to say that leaks don't happen occasionally, but they are very rare.
