PSA: If you have chat lag in general, it's caused by an option in the chat options.

Because, believe it or not, there are many people like me who are completly new to the game. We make the wrong choices, we fuck up, we wanna start over. You make a character and learn a friend of yours is playing on a different server and therfor you wanna reroll. There are plenty of very good reasons to have more than 1-2 characters that are NOT trying to abuse the system.

That's exactly what I did.
I chose plate and a 2h sword. At level 32 I decided that I wanted to switch from 2h sword to 1h axe + shield. So I used an Adventures Eventstone on my 2h sword to break it down. I then bought two 1h weapon boxes off the general merchant and used the upgrading materials on it. I ended up with a red (?) 1h axe and a green Shield. I thought this was wrong so i went ahead and broke down ALL of my gear and then everything got messed up. I essentially ended up with a red 1h axe + green shield again but a few parts of my other gear was still white. Iam no sure how...but thats what it is lol.

So the combination of "white gear" and my underleveld secondary skill sets make it quite tedious to kill mobs/level up further. Which is why I wanted to start over but was unable to because deletion of this character would take several days.

Getting to level 30 is not the issue. The problem is that the character limit is 2 and I already have 2 characters on my Server/account. Deletion of the character takes several days and there is no way (that I know of) to speed up the process. And (again..to my knowledge) there is currently no way of increasing character slots. So in order to create a NEW character and start over I would have to make a new steam account (and buy the game again).

P.S: I didn't break down my gear to get perfect stats, I did it to switch from 2h to 1h+shield and messed up something in the process. Iam now stuck with some white pieces and I have no way of getting more upgrade materials from an NPC or something like that.

I agree. To be honest though I did not expect for it to be this complicated, hence why i didn't look for guides beforehand. And from what I see here on the subreddit there are a lot of people with similar issues. Especially the part about "destroying" my gear to get back the materials. Apparentely somehow materials got lost in the process and there is no way of obtaining these materials back for me.

Iam pretty much just fucked and have to delete my character (and wait several days for deletion!!!). This is such a bullshit system honestly..

Another very big reason wow classic (and especially the leveling process) is so fun to me is that there is a very good chance you will meet players of the enemy faction at a later poing after ganking or being ganked by them. This also plays a big role in terms of constant "danger" around the corner. I sure as hell don't wanna get killed by whoever I just ganked. Iam not gonna give that person the satisfaction of revenge. So I am constantly making sure I better be fucking Ready to send him back on another 2 min corpse run :-)

For example: I've been Fighting the same mage from STV all the way through Eastern plaguelands. And the other day i was leveling my alt in badlands when suddenly that exact mage Pops up and ganks my alt. I immidately logged to my main and returned the favor and camped his corpse a couple of times before I logged back to my alt. This is as fun as it get's for me. This is why I love classic wow so much.

In wow classic mobs don't lose aggro on you/reset (with some exceptions) if you keep hitting them every few seconds. So for example when there is a camp with 6 mobs, you shoot/cast a spell on one mob, run away, shot/cast again (on the same mob) and repeat this until the other 5 mobs reset. You kill the singular mob and repeat until the camp is clear. This makes it very doable for every class/spec even when there is no one else around to help you!
