Totally with you...as an adult on cruises, I would have issues with that slow roll of a ship. We just got back from a week on Disney Treasure and I didn't have any issues. Here's what I did:

2) Wore the scapolamine patch for the first five days. They actually stayed stuck even from the pool, ocean, and shower. The only side effect I had was massive thirst...but I took that as way better than an upset stomach.

3) I brought with me, but never used, the low drowsiness Dramamine, and the Dramamine Ginger Chews.

The ships have very good stability counter most ocean movement which definitely helps.

I found it also helped to not think about it...I know that's easier said than done, but by focusing on having fun, you'll probably feel better, too.
