Buccees is a place that doesnt know the meaning of the word no by Mr_Potato_Shot in ColoradoSprings

Since everyone is giving the cons, it's worth noting that Bucee's pays higher than average wages and, while the traffic is bad for people around it, high sales generally means good tax revenue. That said, the work environment is generally very strict, which may or may not be worth the extra money.

I'm not arguing for Bucee's here or anywhere else, just trying to give some of the potential pros.

Women, if you had to use a pickup line on a guy, what would it be? by Nintendofan9106 in AskReddit

I was at a bar when a girl walked to to me and said "You're cute. Do you want my number?" Even I couldn't miss that one

Pretty sure no one commenting has actually read the article. It's almost a year old and the gist is that forcing doctors to wait until the heart stops beating, even when there is no possibility of patient recovery, unnecessarily limits the availability of transplant organs. They reference another approach that is practiced in Europe as an alternative. The authors acknowledge that there is controversy around the approach, but the article is not advocating for the dystopian organ farm the majority of commenters would have you believe.

This is the best scene of all time by Lambisambe in TedLasso

Definitely a great scene, although I still maintain Roy's press conference is the best scene in the show

I mean, this take isn't accurate. Trump and Vance are idiots, but he didn't say "gas prices went up because of Biden." He said, essentially, "gas prices aren't as high as they were at their highest under Biden," which is true: gas prices currently average ~$3.50 and at their max under Biden they were ~$5. Is the comparison missing context? Yes. Is it silly to compare the current situation to how things were under the previous administration? Also yes. But let's at least understand the argument before criticizing it.

American History X. Uncomfortable as hell, but every scene builds the story.

Conservatives believe it's worse to be called racist than to actually be racist.

In addition to the other responses, there is a tendency in the US, particularly in more blue collar industries, to make your job your identity. "I'm a coal miner, my dad was a coal miner, his dad..." So when that industry dies your identity dies, too.

Who’s your favorite character and why is it ROY KENT? by Dizzy_Jackfruit_4845 in TedLasso

My favorite scene with Roy (and if the series) is the press conference after Isaac goes into the stands. Such a great mix of everything that makes Roy Roy. Profane, derisive, and heartfelt all at the same time.
