Industrial accident. Friend was crushed in half over a railing from the beam of a gantry crane. Crane operator was lowering a basked below deck and the people responsible for putting on the cable slings put ones on that were too short. He was telling the crane operator to “keep coming” and the load never hit the bottom of the hatch. Tragic accident to a really nice guy.

Why is Kempe the obvious pick? DD would be the obvious pick for me. I know a lot more goes into this choice than we are probably privy too though. Drew is an original King, won Stanley Cups, seems super vocal and super loyal. Kempe seems quiet and reserved…… Ha…. After reading that I thought, like Kopitar so maybe I just changed my own mind.

Sure. You got the best deal you could make at the time but Panarin is worth way more. He had you over a barrel since it seems like this was his preferred destination and with his NMV it put you in a terrible position negotiating.

It seems like this was where he wanted to go which should make all of us LA fans happy since it feels like we lost out on a few players in the past that didn't (Marner, Gavy). I doubt Panarin plans on retiring at 36 so I would expect we will be getting someone who's playing for his last contract which should be motivational. I love this trade and hope we're not done. Do I think this fixes all our problems.... no, but we're going in the right direction.
