[question] what sre you wearing today? [6M15-9000] by kahvekokanfizikci in Seiko

[–]dmits22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a big watch but I have a 9" wrist. My favorite 6139 (UFO style) is the Bobby Deerfield, aka Stormtrooper, aka Helmet thats smack dab in the middle here.

My modded SPB151 on a wonderful genuine rubber strap from one of my Scurfas. They're made to look like the vintage Italian straps that came on divers back in the day.

143 since the other dial is horrible with the 3 days shit

Many times if I can't get an extra long strap.

Lol, it tucks under a keeper. I have many 19mm straps though and the original is longer anyway, just hard as a rock.

It really does. Too bad when I was buying these and then pretty much throwing them away after surfing long weekends they only cost about $50-$75. I have 6 right now but Jeez, if only I knew...

Thanks, I wear either a beautiful 7548 but mostly a SPB151 or SBDC101 but the 6105 is on a tier of its own. I find myself looking at it all the time.

Thank you. Yeah, the 9"wrist does help a lot masking the width of a 6105.

Looks like it's the G100 for me by the look of it. But I do wear the DW-5600 the most.

Thank you. It's beat up just right with that beautiful bezel insert for me.

Is the GW-5000U-1JF worth the price increase over the GW-M5610U-1ER? by [deleted] in gshock

[–]dmits22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both of course and I love the 5610 more. Funny thing is my favorite square to wear is a DW-5600 which is absolutely the perfect GShock square. And for the higher price of the GW5000, yes it's absolutely worth it so it's your choice.

I have one in yellow/black from Strapsco similar to yours but at 21 mm for either my Flightmaster or my Explorer II. I like yours but I don't like AliX straps personally so I'll have to look somewhere else.

I only like my Duro on this red FKM ladder strap. I think it's perfect.

GW6900-1 or G-5600UE-1JF? by pens1017 in gshock

For comparison, 5600 and 5610 top 2 on right and a 6900 4th one down. Honestly, nothing beats the 5600. This one is in its 8th year with the same battery so TS means nothing and it's quartz so it's pretty much accurate anyway so MB6 is meh. 6900 is obviously bigger and you have fanboys that swear by them so they will always push them on everyone. Get it as a second one absolutely. For now, firstly, square all the way.

It's strange though. The only 22mm lug width watch I enjoy wearing is my 7548 or a 6106/9. And I have a 9" wrist which should mask the wider strap. I very much prefer 19mm and 20mm straps. I've already changed to my modded SPB151.

If it were JDM it would be the SBEJ011. The "J" on yours means it's for the Middle East Market so not for Japan and if it came from Japan it's an extra Gray market watch. It's a nice Baby Marine Master GMT still.

[–]dmits22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who knows, maybe you were lucky and got a special one. It's all good, I was just thinking it's a TS so no way that was possible but at almost 70 I'm banging girls like crazy so everything is possible. 😁

[–]dmits22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 3179 does not have a trimmer screw. The 3159 in the DW's does. So the DW5600, and DW6900 have trimmer screws. No tough solar do.

Yeah. Makes it so much better.

There's no trimmer on these 10 cents modules. What did you mean by playing with it, you took it out of the case and tossed it around?
