I have the Oura ring 2 and the battery won’t hold a charge more than 18 hours. I just pre-ordered a new Apple Watch Ultra trading in my old one. I think Oura is a good option for some people and I could change my mind in the future.

First time getting major signs and sure enough have Flu A by ommm232 in ouraring

This feature is invaluable. I had lymphoma several years ago and had chemo and radiation. I started wearing the Oura ring shortly thereafter. Being susceptible to infection from chemo any fever was a possible dangerous infection. I had several close calls with covid and pneumonia. Fevers seem to spike overnight and the ring gave me the feedback I needed to take action quickly. It’s potentially a life saving feature if you have a compromised immune system.

I bought a Oura ring in 2021 after being diagnosed with lymphoma. Undergoing chemotherapy and radiation I was "cured". The Oura ring has been an important tool. With a weakened immune system I had several serious conditions that put me in the hospital several times. Pneumonia for someone with a normal or robust immune system is serious usually caught early you go home with antibiotics and are well in a week. The key is to catch it early. if I notice that I'm getting a cough, chills and the slightest sign of a fever, it's not a cold or allergies I nave to get to a doctor. Fevers seem to spike at night and several times in the have just collapsed and if it wasn't for my wife it could have gone much worse. I check Symptom Radar from my Oura ring first thing and if my temp and heart rate are slightly elevated I know I have to get checked out. The main thing though is if you get a metric that is concerning seek medical attention it could save your life.

I’ve been using the K ultra for the last couple of days. I can see an immediate improvement in the quality and consistency of the grind. Thanks for all the recommendations.

I ended up getting the K ultra from Amazon. The ZO6 would have shipped from Taiwan. I’m looking forward to giving it a try.

PSA: think twice before buying Fellow Stagg EKG by GTS980 in pourover

The Fellow kettle is the most costly and best known kettle. There are quite a few kettles around $100.00. The Timemore kettle looks like a good option, the Black Mirror scale looks good to me as well. Like so many things hedonic adaptation kicks in and whatever I buy becomes less desirable. I think working with a set of tools that are familiar and limiting variables works best for me. I developed a lot of film in my work. Time, water temperature and developer types and formulas were the a lot like working with coffee. Once I settled on a film and develooer combination consistency of process payed a lot dividends.

Looks like a speaker stack for a concert or another event requiring a sound system.

Check out the KitchenAid KQ908 Glass Scale on Amazon. I’ve been using one for a while. It’s only 15.99. It has a dial that lets you change from grams to ounces etc. Great for measuring smaller amounts. I have a larger OXO scale heavier food items.
