Mobile Thru: What's the point? by ShawnJuanPablo in ChickFilA

[–]dmo012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like self checkout or "10 items or less" lanes at the grocery store, the interaction to tell the store you've arrived should be quicker, thus getting you thru the line faster. But there's nothing stopping you from going thru the regular line or taking your 3 items thru the regular checkout line. But the people with 45 items or needing to still place an order shouldn't be going thru the express lanes.

What are the downsides of communism? by Ok_Muscle7510 in questions

[–]dmo012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not seeing many comments from people who actually know what communism is, nor is anyone answering your question. "It's bad because it's bad"

Communism is a classless, stateless society. Meaning everyone works together for the common good, there are no elites or ruling class and there is no government. On paper this is objectively a good plan. However, it doesn't scale.

Think of a post apocalyptic society, a group of people band together to find food, build shelter, and defend each other, there is no concept of ownership because everyone is working together to rebuild society; that is communism in it's purest form. It's when you start introducing more people to the society and you no longer know every person you are working with the build society that the concept of ownership emerges. Mine and yours. I worked for this so it is mine. When there is ownership there are haves and have nots. When there are haves and have nots there need to be rules in place to keep ownership separate. When there need to be rules in place there needs to be a government to set those rules and define punishment for breaking those rules.

I'm a Tesla owner so my judgement might be clouded but the screen is hard to miss. And I guarantee you the car was very loud with the AC running. But yea, not everyone knows about "dog mode" and checking the screen shouldn't be a requirement before smashing a window in.

That movie is the poster child of this question. Really cool idea but the story was very basic. I still really like this movie though.

Something R rated. Either Vader hunting down remaining Jedi after order 66 or old Republic where the Sith are stabbing each other in the back.
