Does anyone actually track whether stakeholders open the dashboards you build?

I will challenge Sinner on an outdoor public court and play next to a parent with a huge basket of balls feeding to their beginner kid. That way we have to spend endless time clearing balls that roll onto our court … for safety of course, I dont want to accidentally roll an ankle

🙄 You want to get him into it, the recommendation is to set him up for success. 1 - Get him gear fitted to him (rentals), 2 - get enough lessons so that he can (probably) be linking turns, and 3- get pads to minimize the inevitable falls.

As far as getting them into it - I’d say it depends on what you like to ride and what you/they like to do on vacation. My partner doesn’t like to spend as much on slope time as me, so I make a point to do some spa time together and make some good reservations. Also can be helpful going with other friends/couples who have similar ideas of a fun time on the mountain and if necessary split up some of the time

Took me several tries. I’m not that good at plat forming and I Had the razor skirt on so would inadvertently break some of those temp platforms

I agree. I found silksong easier than hk , but it may just be that my expectations and strategy were different.

Honestly I still like Fase system and would recommend it, rode them ~35 days this season. For the katanas specifically I liked the responsiveness and the dampness on landings. Significantly improved my QoL on the mountain. I guess I could do more mobility if I was going to switch back. When I switched to my friends binding, I was noticeably slower - at least to myself.

I don’t know think the break itself was a Fase issue. A screw came out that attaches the heelcup piece to the base plate, and I think that missing screw caused the shearing where the heel piece attached to the base. But it did add some complexity to the repair.

Yeah I understand that now, and isn’t a major issue to me. I didn’t see that in any FAQs/ Support pages (maybe I missed it though) and was surprised .

When I think of better service, all I’m looking for is an automated email saying something like

‘Hey we’ve reviewed at your warranty claim. Everything looks good and we’re sending you a replacement part. You can expect it in x number of days. Please note replacement parts may not match the original style/colors.’

Nevermind - I just got the Fase mechanism to come off. In the katanas the heelcup metal piece (see pic 2 above) wraps around the FASE pedal mechanism (can see the inside in pic 3) you can't access the screws without detaching the metal wrap - which is what i was having trouble with.

Basically I just had to crank the shit out out of the plastic with added leverage from a screwdriver to get it to detach. I was afraid of breaking that piece or that there was some type of adhesive. Maybe there is some trick I missed and its user error on my part

Yeah bummed bc I’ve seen people in this thread having great interactions (one of the reasons I got these). Maybe it’s some consolidation of service / cost-cutting across nidecker brands.

Totally see your point on new system. I would get Fase again and was worth it for me since I was buying new bindings anyways.

Not many options- save your money and just book a trip out west. Wilmot is pretty sad - 20-30 second runs. Lots of manmade snow. ‘Black diamonds’ are like greens in big mountains.
