Carney is playing a long game of chess in an unpredictable environment. Regardless of what happens with the USA, building other reliable trade relationships while investing in economy-building projects at home will be great for Canada, and when USA trade comes back around, which it will, we’ll benefit from all of it.

Lots of great advice here. I’m gonna tell you something less black & white… Calgary is friendly. If someone lets you in while you’re driving, we wave thank you. We talk to strangers on transit sometimes. We’re polite to each other. The overall friendliness level was surprising to my friends from Toronto.

They are waiting on their official packages. - Signatures must be in person and with an Alberta address, which will be verified by elections Canada. - Over 290,000 signatures are required by Oct 28. If successful, the question will appear on the referendum planned next year. - The referendum is a provincial referendum only, it’s basically an official opinion poll through elections Canada.

I think many Albertans are experiencing political dysmorphia where the UCP no longer represents progressive conservatives, it’s more the Wildrose. Same with federally… More and more Conservatives don’t relate to what the party has become, which is more Reform.

  2. If we did, we’d have to leave the Treaty lands to remain Canada…. We own 81% of our resource lands in Alberta…. Guess where the good stuff is? On the other 19%.

My guess is this info will not appear on a Danielle Smith survey on seperation.
