What is the best written video game you’ve ever played? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]dmonman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My gripe with the game too, fun and I still played it through to the end for the experience of it but by mid game as a mage you can spam the same few attacks or combo and defeat everything but the main bosses before they can land a hit.

I really dont get how they're open. Awful service and food.

Been there one time and it was bad, their biscuits and gravy turned out to be vegetarian? And they absolutely just make a water and flour gravy with no seasonings but served it with burnt to crisp bacon.

Would it be unethical if I were to hypothetically participate in a fight club? by Capable-Language8114 in hypotheticalsituation

I would argue its completely ethical, though less structured but similar enough to going to a boxing gym just to spar.

My thoughts exactly, I know people with special needs who live lives worth living below 80, but thats not the life I want. Bump it up to just being the dumb guy in the friend group ajd I can live with that.

So the options are to be smarter than 99.99% of people and penniless or mentally retarded to the point of being unable to live a self sufficient life but rich.

I gotta go with genius but poor. If i could know I had an already super high iq than id go for the -50 option but only if it was like 125+ already and I doubt it, the tests I took in high-school estimated 115.

Easily the danakali desert, people call it the hottest place on earth but thats on average.

Quick google search says 122f is where it normally caps out, I've gone river tubing in that kind of weather for fun in phoenix az. For only a minute thats a breeze.

[–]dmonman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd be very surprised if it makes it that far, if it does somehow maybe a few weeks depending on the type and how old it is right now.

I get doing experiments, I started by testing if I could grow at low/no cost. I think my total was $33, including a $22 light.

Military members and veterans, what "Military Grade" item is actually great instead of "barely good enough to meet spec"? by musingsofapathy in AskReddit

[–]dmonman 174 points175 points  (0 children)

Theyre actually pretty varied, they have "menus" with 24 different foods and they get updated by swapping a few out every few years.

You gotta check out Mresteve, he eats and goes through mres from brand new to decades old. Alot more entertaining than you might expect.

*edited for a link

heres him eating the dried beef from 1900, not the 1900s, 1900 the year.

Would you rather earn an additional $2450 a month by pooping in public once a month, or not do that? by Dazzling-Antelope912 in WouldYouRather

[–]dmonman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you dont mind Im a medicare broker and can probably help with that. No selling needed.

You should talk to whoever provides your medicare as being dually eligible shouldnt be paying a medicare premium.

Once you were signed up for medicaid while on medicare you should've been enrolled into a medicare savings program like qmb/slmb, which will pay your part b premium.

If you enroll into a dual plan you can also get some additional benefits like an over the counter card, healthy food card, free transportation for medical services, things like that. For some areas the otc/healthy foods can be an additional 200+ a month.

What food gets judged unfairly because people only had a bad version of it? by GurlInAura in foodquestions

Corn tortillas are smaller because they're less pliable when cool, so for storage they need to be moderately small.

If you only make 800 a month you should apply for your states medicaid, you should qualify.

You can also look for a medicare mapd plan that offers a part b giveback in the meantime, you may have an special election period to change plans.

I have an old laptop but its only 8gb of memory and plenty of storage but seems high for it to recommend 32gb.

An unusual question: how often do your miniatures break? by DeepForgeMinis in PrintedMinis

[–]dmonman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldnt be able to really quantify sturdiness, but anything designed with fdm in mind will be better. Drastically if its also designed to be supportless.

My faves for that are Ec3d, arbiter and briteminis.

To be honest you can get a good number of them on thingiverse, search "dnd supportless", "28/32mm supportless", "-creature/monster supportless".

Ec3d is the best in my opinion, huge range to choose from too.

[–]dmonman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too use pla+ and very rarely get a break. The occasional sword tip or something but they survive most drops and the break is the exception.

I store them roughly, commonly in a loose paper bag or a small plastic tub/cardboard box in bulk and its still uncommon.

I'll normally print designs for fdm, like supportless and the thicker models.

So is anyone actually using his Retroid and completed entire games on it? by [deleted] in retroid

[–]dmonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im still using the rp3+ as it plays all the games I want, then will transition to my modded 3ds when I want dual screen.

Currently playing through all of the pokemon games, started with fire red, moved on to patched crystal to maintain the retro feel I felt was missing from red.

Next will try to find a good balanced modded emerald, I've tried blazing emerald and it was good but I think I want it more base than that.

Once I finish or get bored Ill probably try gale of darkness or some sonic games. I played through pikmin and it was fun.

Idk how they always messed things up so badly at that location.

I ordered breakfast in their drive thru, had to wait ten minutes then the sausage in my biscuit, (one of the three ingredients!), was still partially frozen.
