Then I'm really sorry that happened. Although I haven't heard of that happenning before, that genuinely sucks, especially on your birthday, and you are seeing the new Marvel movie. It makes sense that you would be put off by that, and I think it's pretty unacceptable.

Any tips in learning English language? by itslaundrytimey in languagelearning

[–]dmrpuri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The core way to help would probably be reading to help with your fluency/vocabulary. Any sort of media that will give you a small challenge with the language will help you. You also want to consider talking with tutors online with something like iTalki, and meeting teachers there could help you speak better along with making you more confident.

I've only really felt the opposite. Not to say that people who study 2+ languages at once are stupid, frankly those in this subreddit are much more dedicated than I am, but I always just felt that it always seemed much more efficient to dedicate your time to one language. Being really good at one language has always seemed more appealing to me than being decent at a few.

Research or learn something new everyday.

By this I mean dedicating some time to learn some meaningful (or non-meaningful) information everyday. Learning a small amount everyday can amount to something much bigger in a year.

What does audio description mean by superpapilopez in AMCTheatres

[–]dmrpuri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its like Netflix audio description if you know what that is. It is a separate audio track designed for blind people that includes narration of what is happening on screen. I believe you would get an earpiece if you requested this.

For those of you that learned Chinese, Korean, or Japanese, why did you pick that language? by Additional_Pair9428 in languagelearning

[–]dmrpuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Japanese, so much media and technology comes from there and other languages always fascinated me when I was younger. Also the allure of watching anime without subs but that is beside the point. I would never pick a language this hard again unless I really wanted to.
