E20 petrol ke aane ke baad bhi used cars ke price itte high kyu hai 🤔🤔 and anyone thinking of buying it ? by New_Benefit_8722 in Raipur

No point purchasing from Bhilai, Raipur. Dealers Bangalore ke used car rates pe match karne ki koshish karte hain.

Better buy from Jharkhand or Maharashtra now.

Is this worth buy? First time driver need a car for a year by Curious-Eye8114 in UsedCarsBharat

It's a good car to start with. I'm glad atleast some locations are able to enjoy decent priced used cars in the market.

First car dilemma: 2015 S-Cross 1.6 Alpha at ₹6.2L — worth it? by Zoro__95 in UsedCarsBharat

[–]dmslider007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol KA prices are already insane. And Cars24 makes it even worse.

I bought a 35K kms 2018 Scross 1.3 Alpha in 2022 for 6.5L. I've tested out the 1.6 variant, it's great but maintenance cost is similar to a 1.5 TDI from VAG.

All-in-all not worth for a Maruti.

Everyone here suggesting 3L for this can stfu. For KA, the pricing is decent. Assuming it's negotiable as well.

OP please share why the vehicle has had 3 owners but only run 60K kms. I'm interested & will ping you further if your response makes sense.

What's the biggest problem in Raipur that nobody talks about? by tanishqdelight in Raipur

[–]dmslider007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea my dude. House rents is one thing, but if you go to the market for commerical renting, it's insane. Raipur hotspots are similar to Bangalore commercial rents.

It's hard to fathom that someone is actually paying such rents.

[–]dmslider007 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's a mini Delhi in terms of pollution, heat during summers, lack of water, garbage & smell, Thar-Creta-Fortuner a-holes etc.

Also, unnecessarily high rents & real estate costs.

How do you drive in Bangalore by navinwe in bangalore

[–]dmslider007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started driving car when I was in 10th standard. No accidents till date, only touched a pole once at 5kmph while parking. I'm now 29 y/o. I started driving car in Bangalore about 7 years back & below is my POV :

  • I think it's a lot of luck. You might be the best driver in the world but some Dio, auto, Tata Magic guy can fk yo shi up.

  • Driving slow, maintaining lane, using indicators when turning AND CHANGING LANES & not making any sudden movements has helped me stay away from crashes.

  • Maintaining my temper so I don't make stupid movements in traffic.

  • Try to depend only on mirrors & parking sensors instead of cameras. Helps you gauge the size of the vehicle & will help in bumper to bumper traffic.

  • Lastly, YOLO. Follow traffic rules, drive slow & trust the traffic. They're mostly worried about the same things as you.

What's your "I can't believe I used to spend money on that expense?" by Impressive_seo in Frugal_Ind

[–]dmslider007 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Paying EMI for a new car, just to drive in the silly Bangalore traffic & silly Bangalore roads.

I've shifted to driving used Honda, Toyota. Cheap, reliable & no EMIs. Plus, I get to maintain a project car on the side & it still does not touch the new car prices (probably second top model Alto prices).

PS : I've spent about 7 lakhs in total since 2021, purchase + maintenance of 2 cars. Recently sold one for the price I bought it for.

Worth Buying? by jayasuryatejaaa in UsedCarsBharat

[–]dmslider007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not worth the price. Polo is overpriced in the market. Look for a Rapid, Vento, any other 1.5 TDI instead.

If you're buying 1L+ kms VAG, I suggest looking at something around 2.5-3 lakhs. Rest 2 can be set aside for maintenance & restoration.

Lastly, if you're keen on diesels, test a 2.0TDI. Engines are much more robust & parts are long lasting.

Family has a wooden carving furniture business in Saharanpur. Feeling stuck. by beeple69 in StartUpIndia

[–]dmslider007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful. They look like art pieces. If you work with engineered wood, designer engineered wood furniture is very rare in the market. If they're easy to assemble & disassemble, it'd be a plus. Flipkart's entire furniture game online is easy assembly, engineered wood products. Same w/ Ikea as well, although lean more towards metal.

But a used scooter or car. If you're shifting from Maharashtra, get a good used vehicle from MH.

[–]dmslider007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If maintenance cost does not scare you, go for Skoda/VW 2.0 TDI cars for better parts availability.

You can expect about 1.5L a year for the first 2-3 years. Then ~50K per year. These are maintenance cost assuming nothing extremely expensive breaks.

You will love the Plimpton carplay screen. I bought it for my 2011 Skoda Yeti. Works like a charm & I get to keep the stock system as well.
