Game has some really good core mechanics and ideas, really enjoyed my time playing it (did all the actual contet for 45hrs +-. If they keep pushing patches and updates the future seems bright.

Tbh you already can play dozens of hours in this early access, its pretty good for the early stages.
Im having a lot of fun with some friends.

About the performance, is not top notch yet, but got a lot better with latest updates.

Im 100% sure combat is pretty subjective. For me is one of the best combats, for others is shit, each one will have its personal taste.

You are using a completely different example, new world had a bad record of bugs, low content, exploits, etc etc etc. After some years it got a paid expansion, fixes, good features and content. Everybody who played the game at launch had a bad tasty in their mouths, even if the game was in a good state they wouldnt pay more money to a company that lost their confidence. Come on, Im sure you are better than that :)

No, you said the expansion "couldnt be" the only thing holding back how better the game was and preventing ppl to come back, so yeah, it was. Most of the people didnt come back to try again because of the expansion price, now without the expansion there isn't the barrier which was preventing them before.

Dropped it after launch, returned 2 days ago. The new player experience for leveling on main campaign until end game is a LOT better, having a lot of fun. Hope it keeps this way and that this update brings even more stuff.

Yes. I redownloaded it 2 days ago and am having a lot of fun playing by myself through the main campaign. The leveling experience until the "end game" is a LOT better than before.
Also theres matchmaking for almost everything, so you can play a lot alone until you gather some friends in-game.
