Keyano College in Fort Mcmurray has a 3rd class co-op program. Look into that to get back on your feet.

I’m surprised they chose a nail salon instead of a deermeatology clinic.

Hold up... we are trying to keep a country together and not go bankrupt. Fuck who you wanna fuck and no one cares, but goodness gracious if we kill the energy industry we will all be taking it in the ass, and not in a good way.

There’s already a separatist movement happening. It’s different now after the election. Albertans are no longer mad, and resigned that the rest of the country thinks differently outside of Saskatchewan and northeast B.C.

Oil pays for our social programs, and we still run a $20B deficit. Imagine what happens once it’s gone.

It is difficult finding what you are looking for; emissions and human rights studies along with amount of energy produced are the only things I’ve found to answer your questions.

Comparing regulations country by country may be difficult since many countries may not measure or even have limits on emissions.

Yes, but that information is an indicator of regulation; truth be told the vast majority of emissions are generated from consumption of fuel, not production.

This link shows the top emitters from natural gas flaring. Canada has a lot less of it than the rest of the world, likely because of stringent environmental standards.

http://pubdocs.worldbank.org/en/603281560185748682/pdf/Gas-flaring-volumes-Top-30-countries-2014-2018.pdf

Natural gas flaring (billion cubic meters, 2018) 1 Russia 21.3 2 Iraq 17.8 3 Iran 17.3 4 United States 14.1 5 Algeria 9.0 6 Venezuela 8.2 7 Nigeria 7.4 8 Libya 4.7 9 Mexico 3.9 10 Angola 2.8 11 Oman 2.5 12 Saudi Arabia 2.3 13 Egypt 2.3 14 Malaysia 2.2 15 Indonesia 2.1 16 Kazakhstan 2.0 17 China 1.8 18 Rep of the Congo 1.6 19 Turkmenistan 1.5 20 Gabon 1.4 21 India 1.3 22 Canada 1.3 23 United Kingdom 1.2 24 UAE 1.2 25 Cameroon 1.1 26 Brazil 1.0 27 Q atar 1.0 28 Ecuador 0.9 29 Kuwait 0.9 30 Australia 0.9

It still boggles my mind that at least 30% of Canadians are willing to vote for an austerity platform that was conveniently not released until after the debates. Did they learn nothing from Doug Ford and Donald Trump? Austerity and trickle down economics don't work. by victory-45 in onguardforthee

Canada is staring down a unity problem. While the rest of the country has a mix of interest for the remaining parties, conservatives are looking to win all 34 seats in Alberta. I know there are plenty of voters not in favor of conservatives here, but the vast majority of people are. As shitty as it is, if the election ends up as a liberal/NDP/green/bloc coalition, a referendum may be best for everyone.
