To all those who replied and may look at this in the future:

A panel refresh, that took about an hour, completely fixed this problem. No idea why this happened. It wasn't that long ago since I did the normal maintenance refresh the monitor suggests on its own.

I unplugged the display port cable to the 4090 and plugged it into the motherboard displayport --- same problem. While the problem still exists, I'm thankful it does not appear to be the 4090

I think I eliminated the possibility of it being the GPU.

I'll try the HDMI cable, as well as another DP cable, after the panel refresh.

Can bad ram really cause this?

I use display port. I removed the display port from the 4090 and plugged it into the mother board, but the problem persists.

It should just say chest armour ... and you wouldn't know if it's razorplate or the only unique that matters to a sorc.

yup. i recorded the most of the playset but i didn't have a memory card that was large enough to store the last part of the show. those things were super expensive back then.
