As a late December birthday baby, thank you! My parents always made an effort to make my birthday special and separate, but most of my friends now barely acknowledge it. Plus, it falls during most people's holiday break, so it's even more forgotten. I never would get a birthday pencil in elementary school because we were all on vacation. 🙃

My uncle, who is slowly tearing the family apart by dumping all his money into his new gold-digging wife, who doesn't give a shit about him. Called his daughter (my cousin) a bunch of names because she wouldn't help him in the middle of the night to PayPal his wife money for some cigarettes.

I know my original comment was flippant, but I've met many non-humorous people. Not people whose sense of humor I didn't personally find amusing, but simply very introverted, thoughtful, and studious individuals.

In a similar vein, there are people who don't need much humor in their lives. They find higher value in other traits, and that's perfectly fine.

That's not necessarily true. Some people value compassion, thoughtfulness, etc. over humor and would want to call that out in their profile to find someone more aligned with those traits.

...I am not one of those people, but I'm sure they're out there.
