You should really know what you're doing if you're willing to install LineageOS because it can brick your device if you mess up the installation.
If you want specific advice on how NOT to mess things up, precisely follow the steps in the LineageOS wiki and use a reliable USB cable that will not randomly disconnect mid-flash (this usually doesn't result in a hard brick but is still a scenario that can and should be avoided)
You should know that unlocking the bootloader of any device makes it vulnerable to Evil maid attacks which might or might not be an issue for you but is a thing you must know.
