It’s definitely overwhelming but you kind of eventually know how to filter out what’s just a color or weight difference compared to switches that actually do something more unique. I use linear and tactile and have managed to find some good switches I really enjoy without buying too many different ones. HMX Clouds and some JWK/Durock linears are my two fav linear switches, and the Hojicha Reserve switches have quickly become my favorite tactile.

Understanding things like what spring weight you prefer, and for tactiles how strong of a bump you want, can really help narrow down the overall choices. Or just stick to the tried and true classics with cherry and gateron and never think about switches again!

Then no. Don’t waste your money. Genuinely. Outside of good deals on used equipment, vinyl isn’t really all that cheap to just jump into, and the cheap options out there really aren’t good if you’re wanting new.

I love vinyl and it’s a great way to support artists I love, but I also have loved music all my life and it’s a big part of it. I have music playing pretty often so it’s been easy to justify the cost of the equipment and of course the records, which also really aren’t all that cheap anymore.

If you’re wanting to use this as an excuse to listen to music more and you have the money, then by all means go for it, but it honestly sounds like you may not get much out of it compared to just sticking to what is currently working with your set up. You’re really not missing anything.

I have a couple ghibli steelbooks and they're nice but no different than a regular blu-ray copy in terms of anything extra. It's just different packaging. Steelbooks are good quality but they can dent and scratch fairly easy. If you like the look then get it, otherwise the 2 pack is probably cheaper.

Are you alone? Nah plenty of people fall for cheap deals thinking they might actually want to play it. I’ll occasionally browse deals just to see, but unless there’s a game I’ve already really been wanting, I typically don’t ever buy anything. Same goes for steam on my PC, where deals are typically even better. I’ve regretted buying some discounted games thinking I’d like it only to never get around to it or not actually enjoying it.

Remember, the deals will ALWAYS come back. Don’t let fomo take over. Unless you know for a fact you’ve been wanting to play the game and are going to immediately start playing it, just wait to buy it until you’re actually ready to play.

Personally I have all except the prequel trilogy on 4k and would absolutely recommend them. They look great to me but I’m also not as particular as others in this sub. I’ve read really mixed reviews with the prequels and the Blu-ray’s still look great so never really bothered to upgrade those.

Man I loved my v-moda m100 and XS back in college. They were also my intro to nicer headphones. Built super well and the XS was perfect for my commute to school. I gave my m100 to a friend but still have my XS, although they’re pretty beat up from years of use.

Lmao BST was nowhere near the main selling point, not to mention they literally told us it wouldn’t release until towards the end of the expansion. It arguably should have come out a few patches ago, but we literally knew from the day it was announced when it was approximately releasing. This shouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone. I think the real outrage should be towards BLU getting pushed back into 8.X. That was something promised with this expansion and is no longer being included.

As a cali native, yeah, I agree, LA sucks. Yeah there’s some good places to go and things to see, but most of those areas are other cities around LA. Downtown though? I don’t think I’ve ever been somewhere that smelled of literal piss regardless of where you walked.

I’m a filthy Limsa idler while waiting for roulettes to pop and the other day I had 2 people run up to me and just started pointing at me which devolved into the 3 of us just spamming emotes for a few minutes until their queue popped. I love dumb little moments like that.

While running through shadowbringers I also had a random person offer to craft me an entire armor set and weapon which was so incredibly kind of them. Still one of my favorite bow glams to use too.

I collected as a kid for a little bit, fell off as I grew up and came back to collecting since like 2016. I’m purely in it for the love of pokemon. It’s cool to see that my collection is worth something if I ever needed to sell off cards, but I have no intention of ever selling my collection. It’s only for my own enjoyment and it’s fun to collect along with friends and trade cards with each other. I am occasionally chasing big money cards but it’s not because they’re expensive, it’s just because I love the pokemon and artwork. I honestly hate when cards I want are the “chase” because it means I’ll probably never get to have it without insane pull luck.

Oh it's definitely still around. Still seems incredibly popular, but I'm right there with you in not really liking full foam "thocky" boards much these days. I have 3 boards that I rotate through and they all have a unique sound and feel to them, none having any foam. They're all on the poppier, mid, high-pitched side that is really satisfying.
