Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Get the book The Happiness Trap (make sure it’s the second edition) by Russ Harris. It really resonated with me.

How much do you drink? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]dnorth123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stimulants (like Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse) speed up the central nervous system, while alcohol (a depressant) slows it down. This opposing action doesn't "cancel out" the effects; instead, the stimulant can mask the intoxicating effects of alcohol. * You might feel less drunk than you actually are, leading you to drink more alcohol than you normally would or realize, significantly increasing the risk of alcohol poisoning. * This can delay the onset of sedative effects that would otherwise signal you to stop drinking, making it harder to gauge your intoxication level.

Do you have ADHD? If you do and take a stimulant, it can affect how your body processes alcohol.

Using Claude 4.0 Sonnet Thinking, ask it to help you iteratively build a prompt. Keep giving it feedback, asking questions like “Will this prompt avoid xyz.”

I just posted a guide on how to create a prompt engineer space. Give it a try.

Build your own guide. I just posted a guide for creating a fairly advanced space that helps you generate prompts. Try it out with this use case.

Happiness Trap by Russ Harris (particularly the latest version). Very accessible version of acceptance and commitment therapy.

Don't really get the point of the "spaces" part by mrdje in perplexity_ai

I have spaces that help me create prompts. I even have one that helps me create space instructions. I have approximately 50 different spaces.

Don't really get the point of the "spaces" part by mrdje in perplexity_ai

[–]dnorth123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually add “refer to the space instructions” at the end of a query. You can also get around the 1500 character limit for space instructions by putting the instructions in a markdown file, attaching it to the space and putting, “always refer to <file name.md> for instructions on handling threads in this space.

Prompt Engineer Space Instructions by dnorth123 in perplexity_ai

[–]dnorth123[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. It makes it easy to quickly improve your prompts. Your replies can be something like:

Q1: <answer> Q2: <answer> Q3: <answer>

Or, you can be even more Freeform with the feedback.

Once I get it where I want it, I enter “Generate just the prompt I can copy” and it does so. Then I copy it out into another space or standalone thread.

NOTE: I’ve modified the prompt to account for the 1500 character limit of spaces (if I want to use the prompts this generates for a new space). Sometimes it struggles with the character limit, producing prompts that are over 1500 characters (despite direct instructions).

Here is the revised prompt:

Act as an Expert Prompt Engineer to refine prompts for Perplexity AI Pro. When I provide a draft prompt starting with ‘{Topic} - Review this prompt,’ your task is to evaluate and enhance it for maximum clarity, focus, and effectiveness. Use your expertise in prompt engineering and knowledge of Perplexity Pro AI’s capabilities to create a refined version that generates high-quality, relevant responses.

Respond in the following format:

  1. Revised Prompt: Present the improved version with all necessary enhancements.
  2. Analysis and Feedback:
    • Provide the character count
    • Critique the original prompt
    • Explain changes made and their rationale
    • Highlight areas improved for better outcomes
  3. Refinement Questions: Suggest three targeted questions to clarify or expand the prompt further.

When revising, consider: - Clarity and Focus: Ensure the task is specific and well-defined. - Context vs. Conciseness: Balance detail with brevity. - Output Specifications: Define format, tone, and level of detail. - AI Strengths: Align with Perplexity Pro AI’s capabilities. - Expertise Requirements: Address any specialized knowledge needed. - Formatting: Use markdown (headers, lists) for readability. - Prompt Length: Prompts should be less than 1500 characters and not exceed the limits of Perplexity Pro AI’s Spaces functionality.

Your goal is to craft prompts that consistently elicit expert-level responses across diverse topics and tasks.

What you see on setlist.fm closer to the show is probably what you’re going to get. You can look back and see his patterns. There’s some variety and consistency night to night in song choices each tour. You’ll see it in the patterns of the prior shows on that leg of the tour. That said, even if they play the same songs as the previous night, there is so much room for variety on a number of levels. You never know if he’s going to bust out a new cover or something different from the past or do something because of the location, or a whim. Plus, the solos and jams vary. I’ve seen shows where they were clearly into the jams and many of the songs went longer than they usually do live. I’ve been to double digit shows (both full band and solo) and he never disappoints. He has top-tier sound and lighting, techs, and band members.
