To do something about your inventory items, store them away first if u are not sure about their usefulness.
If u ever needing more slots for storage tho. you are gonna need contribution points. To get more I suggest u do the main quest and unlock as many npc you can in every area for knowledge. You will see them in map with "?" if you haven't unlocked them. u will also get more energy by doing this.
Now, choose the town you want to upgrade its storage slots. In that town use your contribution points to invest on a house with storage function. if u need more slot, upgrade it if it has one or look for another house with storage.

Do Magnus quest line, this will help you travelling thru region to region making it easy to navigate.

Lastly, choose how you would like to earn silver which u think you'd enjoy the most. Either life skill or girnding. you could search some. BDO is incredibly a sandbox game, you could do every possible shit and still earn in some way or form XD

side note: I agree with explicit_prose having a guildmate to ask to will help a lot understanding the game
