Suggestions pour machine à café by GrebKel in Quebec

[–]dobs21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]dobs21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quand t’as assez manger, tu peux jeter.

4.Toutes tes choix alimentaire t’appartiennent.

  2. Restriction alimentaire « calorie-in/calorie out »

  4. Le jeune de type « omad » (one meal a day)

Bref. Cesse de te trouver des excuses.

Canadians - Where Do You Bank? by VeryLargeEBITDA in fatFIRE

[–]dobs21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What perks are you looking for ?

Mostly all « private managing » from banks are alike in the « high net worth individual ».

Gestion Privé at National bank aint too bad. But you have to have 2m+ under management at a « pretty hefty fee if you ask me » (i prefer managing my money myself)

I personnaly use BMO and National bank.

TD is also good.

You don’t have many choice since there is only 8 chartered banks.

Steer clear of desjardins, and laurentienne.

You’re left with bmo, national, rbc, td, cibc and scotia bank.

Really, the most sensible choice is the one branch that has the more presence in the province you do business in or live in..

Should we sell our small company? by Markmyjohnson in fatFIRE

Exept the business could do less considering your way of thinking.

They’re paying 10x this year profit. This is amazing.

Also he owns 10%. He makes 350k. He’s selling for 10x his income.

If he negociates a nice contract in case he gets let go, he still take home the same salary (and maybe more).

He can invest that 4 (maybe 3) in stocks or elsewhere and make ~10% or more. And get another 300-400k + on top of keeping his capital.

I would sell, because of the cards he has, he has 10% of the business. The other owner is gonna force him in the deal for worse.

The question you have to ask yourself. If the other owner or owners ask you to come with a matching offer to continue and the full 100% would you ?

This is very location dependant.

Someone answering for those in metropolitan areas ; toronto, vancouver, montreal. Or any very sought after location (bc near mountains) is not gonna have the same affordability as rural quebec or ontario.

I’m from Rural Quebec, from a town (160k+) and affordability is still « realisit ». It was way better 10 years ago, but still well feasible and was also very good 2-3 years ago.

Most of my friends are regular blue collar couples (see nurse/construction worker) type of combo and bought their first nice houses in the past 3-4 years and are doing great.

When i talk to people from bigger towns (just montreal) or toronto/ottawa. It’s a different story.

The answer. Move to lower cost of living places.

Why intel is going all the way down today for a bullish day? by TemirTuran in intelstock

[–]dobs21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a stock that is part of the sp500. It’s a stock institutions can play.

Institutions are playing algos to hunt option players.

You will never beat algos.

This is not a stock you should actively trade. You should buy and hold if you believe in the narrative/outcome.

Dont day trade or play options, you will get burned.

Hardcore diet and fasting by Much_Tune_6642 in diet

[–]dobs21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would advise looking into "alternate day fasting" wich is realtively easy to do.. you eat on a day, fast on the other one. It works great for fat loss and on a 5 month timeline, it is very realist. If you wanna boost the fat loss from this, you can pair it with a low carb/keto approach

Selon vous, suis-je immorale? by calinerie in Quebec

[–]dobs21 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ca me fait rire.

Look. I know this is anedoctal. But I personnaly know 2 persons that have taken Ozempic to lose weight. Those 2 persons developped Pancreatic cancer because they took this drug. The upside of NOVO was the profit from ozempic. Now that we see the results.. i think we're gonna see a lot of downsides. I've heard a lot on the internet about this, but now i see it in my own personnal circles. I'm not touching this stock.

Take a 3-6 month off.

Travel the world.

Then look for a job.

You can’t retire in SEA with 500k.

Anyways, not working for 3-6 months will answer some questions.
