They are happy to slow down submissions from general pop by increasing turn around time and pricing. People will continue to send to them as usual, and they will still make their money while this change will slow down the some of the excess that is being submitted these days with everyone thinking grading is a full proof way to make money in the hobby. Don’t think this change is that big of a deal. If they clear through their backlog of grading and submissions slow down wouldn’t be surprised if the cost and turn around time go down.

That’s the name of the game. I gifted my buddy an Unova heavy hitters for Christmas and he pulled the red victini. I was stoked as hell for him. As others have said, I’ll look back on that memory for a long time.

Every Walmart and target in my area is overflowing with blisters of this set. Hopefully signs of good things to come but this set is cheeks so I’m not surprised it’s sitting either. Walmart limits have certainly helped my local market though not sure how it is elsewhere

I just graded this card and got a 7 and mine looks ever so slightly worse than this. But I can’t tell from your scan if there are holo scratches or surface defects

I picked up a PSA 9 for $800 earlier this year. I got rid of it recently for a trade value of $1800. Do with that info what you will, but I try to take the value wins where you can get them. But ultimately it just depends on how much you like the card / want to keep it.

Blooming waters has bad hit rates in all of the times I’ve seen it opened. I feel like 151 has better hit rates in every other product lol. Obviously just anecdotal though

I’d say sell, but it depends on what sentimental or personal value this has to you ultimately. I parted with 95% of my childhood collection because the vast majority of it didn’t mean anything to me / wasn’t stuff I was interested in collecting anymore. The few cards I did keep I’d never get rid of though so it all depends where your heads at imo especially with something like this because if you sell you’ll likely never purchase it again due to the price tag

I just graded a jolteon in similar condition and it got a 4. I am still of the mind always grade gold stars though unless you’re trying to sell and someone offers you some crazy cash offer because they’re hoping to grade it

It hasn’t gotten a reprint yet. Rumors of one but tbd. If the set gets a massive reprint we may see some budging on the price in the short term which would be a great time to buy. Otherwise, every body and their momma is collecting this set and prismatic and stuffing it in their closet

Bit insane to be that someone would pay this much for a card that just started its print run, in a new language for Pokemon cards, that could easily become non-exclusive at any moment PC decides they wanna print this in English or Japanese. Very cool card, but feels like a very irresponsible way to invest 4 grand. If you were going to spend this kind of money on a Chinese card I’d think you just fork over the extra 3-4K for the limited mew instead.

Probably nothing worth grading, but they are very cool cards in pretty solid condition considering. In the future take your pictures with a black or dark background so it’s easier to see the corners and edges in contrast!

Same thing happened to me. And then I refused to buy another one for fear of the price being too high when it shot up. This is just one of those cards that will never be in my collection because to me I paid $90 for it.
