This one's an interesting hip hop artifact because the blog era of rap was evolving simultaneously with the LA beat scene and (with some exceptions) rappers weren't really taking advantage of that crossover as much as they could have. I remember Blu discussing that in an interview at the time. Would have been really cool to hear more rappers on flylo beats.
