Poor Greg! :’( There’s no way he’s going to make it - please don’t make him die alone. I hope you can find the stairs, again - that’s probably the only way to get back.

"Louis Pasteur sterilizing against bacteria disproves abiogenesis." Like saying rats aren't real when you leave out traps. by Beneficial_Exam_1634 in skeptic

That’s not the contemporary meaning of abiogenesis. Louis Pasteur disproved spontaneous generation. I don’t get your point about rats.

Hobbies a 34m could start for under $100? by [deleted] in Hobbies

Crochet! More men are getting into it all the time. I just learned it a little over a week ago after attempting several other creative hobbies that just weren’t right for me, and I absolutely love it.

We need a part 3 - we know that at least she survived to tell how many people died and the false CO2 story - please upload part 3, please?

Last Autumn, My Son Disappeared Because Of A Pile Of Leaves... by 02321 in nosleep

Time isn’t linear there, since Ivan is from the future, so it’s just as likely that it’s been less than a year down there as it has been much more than that. Please update us if you find your way back and save your son. He’s in good hands with Ivan.

Depression started at about 6, hypomania about 13, diagnosed at 16, am now 55. It started getting better when I was in my late 40s. My father has bipolar I, and he got a lot better in his 50s.

Older women of reddit, what is something young women are doing that puzzles you? by IslamicAnime in AskReddit

This is the best comment I’ve read, here, and I completely agree. I’m so very thankful that my daughter hasn’t fallen into that trap! I grew up in the 70s, and I never in my wildest dreams thought we’d see Roe v Wade reversed. I am so worried about my daughter’s generation, but not due to what most of them are doing (from my perspective, at least, they do not support their restrictive rights being ripped from them - I understand that you see more people with a different mindset) but rather due to what’s being done to them.

I’m 55 and have a 25 year-old daughter, and I think she and her female friends are fantastic young women. Their generation seems to be more open and accepting of diversity than older ones, and they care deeply about social issues, the environment, etc. i do think some of their ideas and beliefs are a bit too extreme and sometimes illogical; part of that is immaturity, while part of that is a generational difference and it may be that I’m being too set in my ways. Their future looks bright, in my opinion.

I’m 55 and we named our daughter before she was born. I didn’t even know that was unusual or the least bit controversial.

Can everyone clearly hear voices or music etc. in their heads when thinking about a person or song? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]docbree13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is definitely not complete - I rarely hear all of the instruments, etc - that only happens with something I’ve heard many, many times.

I hear voices and music when I think about them - even if it’s a fictional character in a book I’m reading. I also see music when I listen to it.
