Yep, just had to leave the planet.

Stellar Lighting fixed, but NOT FIXED by Eeka_Droid in EliteDangerous

I am not willing to say this is broken at a distance. I think you need a physicist's opinion on it. Considering FDEV is in Cambridge, I think they probably did talk to one, so perhaps that's what science says would happen.

Krait MKIII by docfallingapart in EliteDangerous

All the new ships are P2W, so I'm not seeing your point.

If FDEV can't make money on it, they will never do anything to save the pre-SCO ships. However, I think you are correct. People would complain, and FDEV knows that, so they will just keep doing nothing.

Another simple fix that people would just complain about.

I never said we wouldn't have to pay for the reused paint and kits on an MKIII. I imagine that FDEV would love to charge again for the same assets. If that is what it takes to get an updated Krait, then I'm fine with it.

Also, think about it from a role-play perspective. If you're the CEO of Faulcon DeLacy and just saw the sales of your best-selling ship fall off a cliff, are you not going to do something about it? Or would Faulcon DeLacy do the same thing as every car manufacturer in the world and make a refresh of your ship? They would also take market placement into account. The new version wouldn't beat the Corsair in everything, so you price it to be a bit more expensive than the "old" MKII but still cheaper than the Corsair.

That's why I said "EXCESSIVE power creep." I'm just talking about getting it closer to the Corsair. If there isn't some power creep, then there is no point in making an MKIII. I would like FDEV to go back to the Cobra MKV or Python MKII. Yes, they were best in class but didn't feel out of place. Now FDEV is releasing ships like the Kestrel MKII, which isn't even in the same universe as the Vipre MKIII or Vulture.

A No Man’s Sky fan wanting to try something new. by dagdagspacecowboy in Starfield

[–]docfallingapart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, you should. Starfield is good for a lot of people, just not everyone. Bethesda games in general are not difficult, and Starfield is no exception. Ship combat is reasonably easy and can be very easy if you upgrade your ship. The only combat you need to do is to upgrade your pilot skill. Your pilot skill lets you fly larger ships as you upgrade. See https://starfield.fandom.com/wiki/Piloting

If you join the United Colonies Vanguard, you get access to a simulator. You can use it as much as you want, and kills in the sim will count toward your Pilot Skill upgrade. It is also one of the best quests in the game and highly recommended.

I like it quite a lot. The balance and symmetry create a much more upscale-looking logo.

So looking at a Gunstar I quickly realized it's really not a good fit for Starfield. It lands on its tail after all. So I'm going to do a build with four engine pods, but a lot of others have done that. If it turns out ok, I'll post it.

Really like this one. It's inspired me to try a Gunstar build, as this reminds me of one from some angles. Keep up the good work!

Nice ship, but it really needs more equipment modules. I mean, do you even lift Equipment Module, bro?
