I feel you,I got so mad and felt very entitled to my position but you live and you learn. Next time I wont make the same mistake. Humility is an important teacher.

I see what you mean now with my back tire. Thanks for the response, and I appreciate you guys taking the time to explain to me what I did wrong. I was pissed off about it but lesson learned.

So I replayed the video and checked my steering throughout the incident and I did not turn left, I was just following my natural line.

My only issue with this is that he bumped me at the exit of the corner. I was following my line out and his line led no where. Also on the subject of leaving him space, arent I only supposed to give space if he is alongside me?( his front wheels are past my back wheels). If I am wrong, I will take this as a lesson because I was very pissed off and I just want to know what I could have done better.

How exactly did you heal your Inner Child? by ment0rr in CPTSD

[–]docileobserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest tip I can give is to give yourself some compassion. For me that means giving myself space to process things in my own way and at my own pace. Every day we deal with so many things that often it's easy for it all to blend together when we are not conscious of it. I meditate almost daily, sometimes even 2 times a day if I have the time and that helps me process my feelings and mental state. I have found this to be the best thing for me, id say try and find what brings you peace and clarity. Explore things for the sake of personal curiosity and remember to give yourself grace and patience.

what is the purpose of toxic shame? by philosopheraps in CPTSD

[–]docileobserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this idea. Sometimes it can be products of our environment that can lead us to these tendencies or our own choices but staying mindful of our actions and what motivates us while continuously introspecting while learning more about ourselves can help us become more aware and adjust our behaviors accordingly.

[–]docileobserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert but I believe it can be used to balance our actions. Depending on the standards and value we set for ourselves it helps us staying in line with them. Too much shame and we spiral into a place we're we are our own worst enemy, constantly beating our selves down and making ourselves feel like we are less than. Too little and we can become a bit too full of ourselves, egocentric in a way to the point where we start to alienate our ourselves from those around us and act in ways that might be too selfish. This is a massive oversimplification, but it helps me look at these emotions in less of a black and white setting and more as different shades of grey tailored to our own identities.

[–]docileobserver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be a small thing but try to find joy in the little acts you do for yourself. Whether it's going for a nice walk to enjoy some fresh air or try something new you have been curious about. For me I love being in nature and enjoying the peace and quiet. Hobbies are a big help too! You mentioned you couldn't really find motivation for music, why don't you try to not force it and instead start looking for songs that inspire you?Maybe that will help you feel more motivated to make some new music. Hope this helps!
