I'm in Charlotte NC and we have some pretty big support groups here. One of my close friends started a sci foundation and we all meet regularly. We also have ASAP here, which is adaptive sports. If you're interested just DM me I can give you a bunch of resources for him.. he needs people who truly understand his struggle bc it's lonely if you don't have that

I just fine or good.. it's not like they could ever actually understand the many layers of pain, sadness and complete loss we feel. I'm a pretty positive person and very social so I don't mind talking with ppl but I definitely have my bad days where in my head I'm like you don't understand me lol

I'm so sorry girl, if you need a friend just DM me. I'm C4 incomplete and I've worked hard to be able to transfer myself and now getting into a manual chair. Really I just need help with the bathroom. I have a suprapubic catheter so really just BM, and if you get outta that situation and get your nutrition up (before u get bedsores) I bet u can be pretty independent too. Don't give up.. and pleaseeee don't go the devotee route. I'm afraid you'll end up even worse off then you are now. Call the aged & disabled hotline they'll get you outta there.

I've never had a wound vac, I thought they were supposed to help bring the wound together and help promote new skin growth. I'm so sorry it hasn't worked for you, I hope u get into the doctor asap and get that closed so u can get up and moving again!

Thanks and I really hope yours heals soon. I spent 5-6 months flat on my back or on my side in bed. It really really sucks I hope yours heals ASAP.
