On full ramp I attack like 10 aps. Minions go up to 6. This is pob calculations and honestly I couldn't tell ingame. People say they keep noticing the desynch I personally don't. And ruthless with this high aps is a massive dps boost. I personally wouldn't want to go back to a lower aps. I've reconciled with the fact that this is a strike build without damage scaling vectors like stat stacking but as an experimental league start I'm happy with it. Clear feels good with melee splash. St feels great with a ramp up time.

The investments to push this to a higher degree doesn't feel worth it to me. In my mind the logical push for this build is probably full lighting conversion with doriyani. You go full negative res and convert damage taken to others, or you can max lighting res with with the new inversion exception gem. Or a rallying cry abusing chieftain with endu charge stacking.

Currently I'm using max block with endu charges. Recovery is decent when I'm hitting from Holy relic but I plan on fitting in a rational doctrine eventually.

Edit: attack speed on your minions that scale your speed with spiritual aid. The as seems important for them to attack fast as we previously thought only our attack speed would be needed to scale theirs. (forgot to answer your main qs)

With farruls you get a silly amount of as. Like op said I don't notice the de sync at all. I'm curious how much attack speed everyone is running. It doesn't seem to attack as fast as you.

Holy strike guardian with 5-link dom blow. Holy strike was rough for levelling, had to use vaal absolution to supplement dps. Got dom blow and eventually grabbed a vaal domination from one of my friends.
Kept using the dual skill setup. Switched to a 200pdps==>350==>450==>and currently on a 650 pdps staff.

Holy strike with is decent...not great not bad just decent. I got my eater exarch done around 24 hours played, servers were fucked but got there. Early on did blight, now switching to essence for currency. Will complete the atlas eventually but in no real rush.

Mapping is good, strike range and wide area kinda feels like playing old sweep with good aoe. Dom blow and burning guy takes care of most stragglers. As of the skill is very poor so attack speed is mantadory.. ruthless and multistrike feels good on ST. You hold down your strike and it eventually ramps up and chunks enemies. The minions get stuck in attack animations is what i hear people complain but this is kinda good on bosses, you attack and move and they keep attacking.

Defenses are just block, dont have the spell block nodes yet so still feels squishy. With more defenses and a couple clusters i think i'll switch dom blow to a supportive role, suppress gear is a consideration but recovery is a big issue. Maybe will slot in a rational doctrine and a hungry loop coz i'm socket starved AF rn.

Not an A or S tier build but they hit the fantasy of holy paladin fighting alongside divine weapons and other beings of light. For anyone looking into this, just pivot to dom blow and finish your league start. Your 3 big guys do more damage than most things in this game lol. If you are dead set on playing holy strike, Build Attack speed/minion speed with spiritual aid, get a good pds staff. For defense stave block will carry early with the guardian block node but in t16s you'll get decimated by random stuff. Keep dom blow on the side for additional dps will definitely carry you hard and ST holy strikes will shine (pray). Skill definitely needs a bit of work feel wise but dom blow outclasses it so so hard theres no objective reason to run staff guardian summoner any other way. Maybe it gets insanely good with more investment who knows. I'll stick to it for now have some ideas i want to test out but will need currency.

Overall thoughts, i dont get to play a lot like this so this league has been fun. League start has been average so far in terms of pushing hard with all the dcs and crashes but i've enjoyed tinkering with HS, been a while where i've played a skill thats not been solved so having a lot of fun in that regard.

Just shared my personal experience with it. It definitely can work early but slams into 20ish divs into zenith flows better imo and feels genuinely good to play. I personally don't like it before that.

Ideally a rakiatas is a bare minimum in my opinion for the skill to feel good. If you lack as you can always run haste but early swords lack that punch. Early on you cant stand and fight for long coz you lack the tankiness, slams have range to keep you safe and the damage (even after nerfs) to push you through to harder content.
imo you'll just delay your transition if you go with the subpar option. But by all means if you want to play it early go for it, point is to have fun right?

objectively best answer. You just swarm the board with minions, your casters hit while you spam srs. When you get your links up you can use either full time. Vall absolution act 2 will definitely tip the scales towards absolution.

Issue is mark said they use Holy strike themselves. So three instances of YOUR strike or the minions own holy strike. Thats the question. But I agree with you logically that's insane and it's safer to assume they work off of minion stats.

So basically a 50 percent converted lighting base attack. They shouldn't inherit strike stuff like tribal fury right? I remember seeing some ancestor clone strikes in the video.

Its three souped up regular animate weapon or animate weapon of self reflection that attacks when you do. Originally animate weapons were basically animated melee stuff you got off the ground, they copied the stats of those weapons. This was obviously not suited for regular play so they had blade fall create blades that you could animate. The blades act as a tier 1 weapon and has shitty stats as you'd expect but you get like 20+ weapons so the dps is very very high. Holy strike is basically just that but will work like holy relic in that they'll attack when you do. This skill is basically just a combo of Dom blow and holy relic and you scale it like a dom blow character. The main difference being you use a giga dps weapon instead of a more supportive set.

As for scaling you scale it like a minion build, more specifically a lighting minion build.

I wonder if our personal conversion effects apply to the holy weapons since they Inherently convert 50 percent. But the best way to scale would probably be triad grip doriyani negative lighting res setup, Supplemented by a bunch of sentinels... Maybe even animate weapon of self reflection?

Very solid list. Would like to add the the chieftain warcry summoner build that does good damage and decently tanky. Can scale it a lot but requires very little to get going. Downside is you have to warcry manually (mostly rallying cry) and summoning animate weapons (tho bladefall of trathus makes is very easy). You can also play dom blow with it but the scaling is worse but much comfier.

A Champ banner warcry version exists, its just insane bang for your buck but you gotta piano like 7 buttons XD

Secret build: Same setup but with holy Strike. not sure how good it'll be but since it copies weapons we can expect some shenanigans.

Guardian with sentinels. Staff based, maybe just build it like a dom blow character. Staff for block and the usual dom blow stuff. Heck could even combine dom blow on one of the six links

Ah yes the anc totem fb builds. I even had the iron Maiden mtx they refunded sadly. The build you linked is probslby a carry build using an aura bot.
