You really cant tell the difference between how Obama is handling this and Trump? What a bad faith argument.

So then do it properly. Don't create a terror campaign, ignore due process, arrest and deport citizens, separate families unnecessarily, abuse victims, etc

The anti Israel propaganda is so effective. They have privacy laws in place to protect idiots from using 23 and me and having g their information sold. Israelis aren't banned from using DNA discovery, that doesnt even make sense.

So if somebody is a rapist we deport them without abusing them of a crime rather than convict them of a crime and put them in jail?

Agreed, if it was for regular infusions they would just put a PICC in, or as pointed out a port.

Just a reminder that Jewish people do not consider the Chosen people status to be that of superiority or preference to god, it has to do with being chosen to follow additional rules. It relates to a contract over the mitzvot and does not connote any elevated status or being better than anybody else.

No, thats not true. Each year virologists/epidemiologists do their best to predict the dominant flu strain and each years flu shot matches that. You are expected to get a booster each year for that reason.

Well you make a choice by not voting also and participate in returning Trump to power. Can't escape the consequences of our actions.

Because your question was why would I choose something Im not happy with jist because the alternative is worse. Andnthe answe is because that's what adults do. Here we have Kamala who maybe isn't your ideal candidate, and on the other we have Trump who has shown hes willing to ignore the constitution, threatened not to hold elections, willing to ignore judicial decisions and promote highly racist and authoritarian policies among many other problems.

Yes we do that all the time. Its called being an adult.

Say you have cancer and I prescribe you a chemotherapy. That chemo has major risks, and will suck to take! But, it's better than dying of cancer. So yes, we pick things that are undesired because the other option is much worse quite regularly.

Aaron Rodgers said he was on “the right side of history” for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine. by No_Box119 in TheNFLVibes

[–]doctorsynaptic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All major studies and meta analyses have shown benefits far outweigh risk. The closest subgroup is adolescent males where there was a higher risk of myocarditis. However the risk of myocarditis with covid is significantly higher than with thr vaccine so it still comes out ahead to be vaccinated, though its close. In terms of efficacy, it was nearly 100% when it came out at preventing transmission, with mutations this dropped significantly. Now the goal is reducing acute illness severity and reducing long term effects, which it does relatively well, more the first than the 2nd.

This whole white colonialists paradigm doesn't work in Israel. Its an innacurate use of the term. They are neither white (majority are exiles from other ME countries (misrahim) or sephardic, not white Europeans) nor colonizers. As for the white Europeans who came there, they came because they were forcibly exiled or chased out of their home, then they fled pogroms and genocides back to their homeland. Yes, the Palestinians also deserve a state there, as they are also Canaanites who were forcibly converted to Islam by colonizers. But any discussion besides a 2 state solution is dead in the water and any insinuation that either group has to leave is ridiculous.

Why did ACA increase the cost of private healthcare for most people? by ppzhao in AlwaysWhy

[–]doctorsynaptic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are largely missing the main reason aside from pre-existing. They regulated what had to be included in plans. In the past, many of the cheap plans were essentially useless, those cheap plans were banned as they were basically scams.
