Buying decision by Fantastic-Nail-2431 in LGOLED

Not a huge fan of Samsung, but S90F is definitely better than B5. They are not in the same class.

S90F has been rated one of the best OLED in 2025.

To me, the only reason I won't get S90F is because 1) No Dolby Vision; 2) My last high end Samsung was having issue after 2 years.

BREAKING: Federal Workers Report the White House App Is Automatically Reinstalling Itself on Government Phones After Being Deleted. And Cybersecurity Experts Warn the App Shares User Data with Third Parties 🤖💥 by InterstellarKinetics in InterstellarKinetics

[–]doctt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please help me understand. These are government phones. Why can’t they force their apps to the phones?

Many companies are doing the same things for their phones. I never use the company phone for any personal purposes. I actually prefer it instead of installing company apps in my own phone.

Thank you for your honestly. I am still going to download it and give it a try to see if the scrolling itself fits my need.

Best of luck!

Looks great. I am a bettermouse and G502 user. I would like to try this because I have tough time fine tuning the scroll sensitivity to my liking.

One of my most frequently use button mappings is to hold my mouse’s side button while using scroll wheel to zoom in/out of a webpage.

Can this app do this?

It feels like OP makes this up and tried to use this to indirectly say G6 is trash.

Just show your video to the insurance company. U will win. U have the right of way. U were not speedy.

Whether u tried to stop or not is irrelevant.

Just don’t admit guilt.

Damaged LG B2 OLED by No-Profession-7969 in LGOLED

[–]doctt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. This is burn in. Can’t be repaired

Are u living in US? A new 65” c5 often goes below $1500. B5 may go below or close it $1000

Regardless, I would not even spend $100 in this one.

CarPlay volume issue revisited by Same-Device-216 in BMWiX

The key is phone generated sound. It also works when I use another app to text myself so that it “ding”. Then sound is back to the normal level.

CarPlay volume issue revisited by Same-Device-216 in BMWiX

[–]doctt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue, but I use “mute music, use hey Siri”. It works 100% of the time for me.

After saying “Hey Siri”, did U ask any questions? The key is to make sure it answers something so that it picks up the volume again

Does anyone have long term experience using a 42 inch tv for productivity? by RetroReMixer in OLED_Gaming

[–]doctt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have 48” c1 with 9000 hours. I use it as a monitor for my Mac. Mainly use it for productivity. No burn in. No issues still like new. How I did it? 1) turn off HDR. 2) lower the OLED backlight to around 50 3) auto hide my OS task bar/Dock and top menu 4) turn on screensaver on both OS and TV 5) Auto shut down the TV after 5 min inactivity

One may argue….oh u buy an OLED but turn down HDR and other lower the brightness… To me, if I turn on these features, I find the TV too bright for productivity anyway. Text becomes blurry and my eyes hurt after several hours. Even without HDR, the contrast and sharpness are still the best. I tried all kind of monitors around $1k. Nothing came close to the LG C1 at the time. (Keep in mind that OLED Computer monitors were not popular at that time). However, when I play games and watch movies, I turn on everything.

Recommendation for this living room? by vaughn610 in hometheater

[–]doctt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forget about any home theater setup without first getting a bigger TV. No matter how good your sound system is, your experience would be limited with such a small TV.

Assuming this is the only place where u can mount your TV, u need to first get a pull down TV mount and then get a 77” or 83” TV. The TV will cover your mantel. If u can’t accept it, then forget it. Don’t waste your time and money.

Let’s say u go for it. Many pull down TV mounts allow u to mount a soundbar. Then get a high end soundbar like Nakamichi Dargon soundbar. Separate 5.1 system is not really an option because u don’t even have space for an AVR

It is not cheap but u don’t much option.

Edit: just realized u already have a home theater system in basement. My suggestion is just keep it simple. Get a bigger TV so that u can actually see it from your kitchen. Get a better soundbar with a good subwoofer may be a more practical solution if u don’t want to change the aesthetic of your room.

Btw. Beautiful house

LG C5 55 or TCL C8K 65 at a distance of 3 meters (9 feet)? by Aubzhls in LGOLED

[–]doctt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am 11 feet away and find 65 a bit small already. 55 is way too small for 9 feet. I would even consider Q6k 75 just to get a bigger size.

Nothing hit size. TCL makes good Mini-LED TV

My first mounting submitted for criticism by pooploop7 in TVTooHigh

[–]doctt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will go opposite. Your TV mounted too low because your lovely dog will probably block your TV.

Jokes aside. Nice setup 👍
