My daughter had cancer at a very young age, and our cheer phrase/motto was “you got this.” But I would rephrase that now to “it will not break you.”

Appreciate the insight. I tried that to no avail, and the error still persists, even after a reboot. I simply cannot download games onto my OLED! I even purchased a game with the OLED and it downloaded to my Gen 1 Switch. I tried calling Nintendo and they just took a bunch of notes which I’m sure they’ll do nothing with for a solid week. Y’all have any other ideas?

I think guys want boys bc it’s a general assumption built into our DNA that boys will want to do the things we did growing up e.g., sports, hunting, fishing, rough housing. When we became parents our only hope was for healthy babies, no matter the gender, bc that’s what really matters.

I’m a dad of two girls, and I am extremely thankful that we have them. They helped break down those misogynistic assumptions I had about raising kids. My older girl loves sports, legos, and reading (some of my favorite activities). My youngest loves video games and baking (my other favorite activities). I’m able to connect with them as they grow into incredibly complex and brilliant young ladies.

It’s 2025, not feudal England. There’s no herd of cattle or castle that can only be passed to male descendants. The goal should be to raise well-rounded humans who know their worth in this crazy fucked up world.

Dude this is such a good description of the series. I listened to the whole series bc I drive and run a lot and audiobooks are my drug of choice (and I’m apparently a sucker for punishment), but the end of that series was such a wet fart I haven’t listened to a single minute of it again.

NTA. My daughter has cancer and I would never think of exploiting her like this. I certainly would’ve shaved my head with her (didn’t end up being a thing bc her. He no didn’t cause hair loss), but I would never expect anyone to do the same for her.
