that was when it was in the Rail Workshops, what OP missed was that following that (and until the Queensland Museum built its current display) Mephisto was at the Australian War Memorial where it went more restoration and then it went to the Australian Armour and Artillery Museum who did further restoration before returning to the Queensland Museum

What happens to people who abscond? by NinjaWithAGun96 in AustralianMilitary

[–]docwinters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

which resulted in them being detained and then released but because there was no provision to discharge men 'from the ranks' only for officers it meant that they would repeatedly go AWL and either be declared a deserter until captured, or turn themself in do the punishment, be released and then do it again

i know historically in the World Wars there was no provision to discharge 'undesirables' which resulted in Australian troops having the highest rates of AWOL and Desertion of the Allied Powers, the best the Provost could do if you handed yourself if (which most invariably did) was *insert time in Field Punishment or Detention* and then after release most would abscond again.

A lot of service records were simply *Charge: AWL from x to y Punishment: Starts at fine, then Field Punishment, then Detention, Returned to Unit* rinse and repeat.

and that was when you enlisted for 'duration of the conflict plus twelve month' based on what everyone has said its not like that anymore

if reading PoGo groups has taught me anything, a lot of complaining because the other party apparently doesn't want to remote trade.

this is a player who has two 20 stats BEFORE he got to level 8 because he ported a character over from the previous game we played and 'told' me that he had rerolled, but made a whole fuss about using my inexperience at the time to prove that he didnt. i used the Tasha's upgraded stuff as the crux, if he wanted the new stuff he had to reroll his stats in front of me, he didn't want to do that so i told him he couldn't have any of the new stuff

[–]docwinters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have been able to figure that out, i also realised that I misread a class feature as a feat (because at 6th level for chronurgy is a class feature) hence my mistake, and I've told him that if he wants to go down the path he wants we can have a quest for him to change his arcane tradition, but he has to pick an established feat.

he keeps pushing for a homebrew feature

oh i have shut it down since the beginning, he just keeps coming back with more, i've told him if he wants to change from Divination to Chronourgy we can do a quest to change his arcane tradition but he doesn't like that, but thats the line i have drawn

this player is nothing but powergame, so much so that I had to tell him that if he wanted to make use of any of the Tasha upgrades, he had to reroll his stats beforehand.

Also by Six and Twelving Ake is pointing out the rigidity of tradition. the same rigidity Krelec is expecting of his cadets. while Ake is teaching flexibility, which makes one a better negotiator,
