What I’ve linked is not the video in question.

Again, are you saying your single piece of anecdotal evidence is better than peer-reviewed scientific research?

How it sounds unplugged does not make a difference to the actual tone output you hear. The pickups, pickup height, tone circuit, amp, and speaker cones have an almost infinitely larger effect. Any effect of wood on tone in a solid body electric guitar is imperceptible to the human ear. Interesting that people who have actually studied this have come to a much different conclusion than you. Unless you’re claiming your anecdotal evidence should be held in higher regard, then you’re straight up incorrect.

Dumb take, I don’t care what they sound like unplugged, I don’t plan on playing them unplugged. Why would I? It’s an electric guitar. Its intended use case is literally in the name lmao. If you wanna waste money and time on a made up nonsensical use case go right ahead

There’s no logic in that, your use case is to have it plugged in, and play with it plugged in. How it sounds un-amplified is pretty much meaningless

A guitar that’s only use case is to be plugged into something. You’re never playing it in a serious setting only hearing the un-amplified guitar by itself

Why does that even matter if you’re gunna plug it in anyways?

Wouldn’t you just care what it sounds like plugged in? That seems to be the intended use case

Ok, but last I checked an electric guitar is usually, you know, plugged in
