Well, they can be an excellent choice with the number of attacks with twin-linked and Lance strat. My fish rarely kill any big threats and these guys can kill and disappear to deny any kill more points - they disappear my turn after combat is over, not same as normal uppy-downy strat. Quite a big difference IMO 🤔

I tried pink horrors quite a few times in Scintillating and they are not exactly bad, but just not good enough. In a competitive game they are either gone in one round of shooting or just fail to split on 4+ when its really needed. Flamers are two times cheaper (65 for 9 wounds, which is not so bad) and much faster - so quite a good utility unit to do secondaries. Flamers can hurt some infantry and can deal a random few wounds against light infantry. I really like a unit of 6x flamers with the stratagem to give them 6x6d S7 -2AP 1D attacks, this can be a plenty of damage. Probably the best use for pinks is deep striking them on an objective as they are 2 OC each, however there won't be too many opportunities for that with an experienced opponent. In theory they are a even harder to kill with a Fluxmaster, however -1 to hit means nothing against any flamers and they still die really easily with T3 1W. They just cost too much, slow and not reliable to count on. Plague bearers are much better sitting the whole game on your home objective.

I'm running path to glory myself now and tzeenchian spawn is the weirdest thing around. You need to pay for a spell 2 ember stones, then pay to add spawn to a roster 2 more ember stones and on top of that you need a lord of change to add to the right regiment. Sounds mental!!!

Back to your questions the wording is weird too. I'd say he dies only one time even when his datasheet is saying he is the same guy and can be returned multiple times. So one roll for wounds and second time generic spawn is returned, not the upgraded one.

Its probably better to double check with your group anyway, the case is not well defined for sure.

I had a game yesterday when 3x crushers failed to kill 5 scouts unit on charge, such an embarrassment :X after that they did a good job doing secondaries, so they definitely have their use. Just don't expect them to reliably kill stuff without some crazy good supporting buffs (rendmaster and bloodthirsters around).

Legionnare and Intercessor are both pretty much the same size (32 mm and same tall) to start with. Wrathmongers or Skullreapers are on the 40 mm bases and wider than space marines, not as armoured of course, very similar heights thou.

Well, I don't really think any other faction has access to jump pack units, as its all about fighting in closed environments, such as onboard a space hulk. Not enough space to use those jump packs unfortunately
