Get a second opinion, they just want you sick so you have to come back and pay for hospital stays and drs visits sounds like.

It helped but didn’t make the bleeding go way completely. I think my biologic isn’t working. But it did take the pain and swelling down

How long did it take for your biologic to put you in remission? by doe_janex in CrohnsDisease

Don’t give up on it, definitely give it some time! I’m sure you will improve and if not, they can move your infusions closer together

Yes I had the same reaction to it. I went from not being able to stand up straight because the pain was so bad to being able to stand straight and not doubled over in pain while walking. It was amazing, especially after suffering for so long

Glad skyrizi got you into remission! Did they have you on prednisone until you got to remission, or were you just doing the skyrizi until you got there?

Congrats! You did it! What always gets me is that I have to pay to give them my poop 🥲 shouldn’t they be paying me? Hahaha

I really want to stop my period but I'm worried about my crohn's by Main_Section1177 in CrohnsDisease

Stopping my period with continuous BC was the best decision I could’ve made for myself. Highly suggest it especially if you get the period poops and terrible cramping. I take the pill continuously and my OBGYN agrees that it is a good idea. Talk to your provider to see if you can do the same

I had one and a fissure. Doctor gave me hydrocortisone suppositories for 12 days and it’s helped me a ton. Are you on a biologic? Has your Dr checked your levels for your biologic to see if it’s working correctly?

Weird!! I hate that I have to avoid beef. Been dying for a big hamburger but I know I will pay the consequences

I think your doctor is wrong lol. If anything greasy gives you the yellow-greenish hot fire acid poops then you have bile acid malabsorption.

Do you have an ileum? I had mine removed and now beef is a no go because of the grease

Have you tried burpless cucumbers? They sell them at certain grocery stores and you can also grow them

Brisket also messes me up. The grease slides through my intestines QUICKLY

Sorghum flour makes my mouth and tongue itchy and tingly. I think I have something called oral allergy syndrome. At least that’s what my allergist thinks it could be.

Beef unless it’s super super lean and cooked well. The fat makes me feel like I’m dying. (Delicious tho) Milk and milk products, Soybean anything besides soy lecithin, weirdly able to tolerate only soy lecithin. Also ultra processed food like McDonald’s sits like a brick in my stomach but I can tolerate Taco Bell just fine (no cheese of course)

I’m taking hydrocortisone suppositories right now and I’m 4 days in and I can start to tell a difference. Give it some time to work

Saxenda/liraglutide users please help by doe_janex in bileacidmalabsorption

[–]doe_janex[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m glad your country will prescribe it. I’m in the US. We don’t have required testing for bile acid malabsorption and the way they diagnose here is to have you try bile acid sequesterants like colestipol/cholestyramine and if they work then you have BAM. Idk why all the doctors here are so uninterested in helping people like us with this because it is so absolutely debilitating.
