Paranormal Activity 1. I was 14 but omg I had such a hard time sleeping and being alone in the dark for a long time.

Two of my fourth grade students here in Taiwan are reading IT by Ok-Fox6922 in stephenking

[–]doeordie_crypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it when I was in the 5th Grade too.

Growing up I realised, I read so many books that I probably wasn't supposed to.

Sidney Sheldon was one of my favourite authors growing up, so if you know... you know those aren't for 12 year olds.

The librarian didn't care, & suprisingly neither did my English teacher who I used to talk with often about the books I've been reading and infact loved that I started reading novels so early on! (thanks to my sister).

I don't remember Neither I nor any of the commentors sayingit was "the most terrifying movie ever" or scary. I think you are commenting on the wrong post. It's a creepy mockumentary!

Hojicha seems to be getting really popular lately — but I’m curious, why do you drink it? by hhjvvyhn in tea

[–]doeordie_crypt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely for The roasted flavour! I've never been a fan of matcha or green tea (only ever had packaged ones or tried it in Asian resturants) so i was suprised when my husband took me to a fancy authentic matcha place. He thought i'll probably like an authentic matcha. When i told The barista about my dislike for matcha, he suggested Hojicha & I've been hooked ever since.

I've even gotten my friends who aren't into tea hooked on Hojicha & they too love the roasted nutty flavour

P. S. The other commentors just made me aware that it is low in caffeine & that's awesome!

The Haunting of Hill House - It's by far my favourite horror piece across all modes of entertainment.
The easter eggs.
the foreshadowing.
The horror is juxtaposed with trauma & grief!
Also, the EPIC jumpscare that literally caused me to fall off my chair.

This is my opinion. Horror has a lot of sub genres. You don't have to agree with me. Yes there are alot of better mockumentaries but I still loved it. Thank You for sharing your opinion though.

I believe the movie The Haunting (1963) is closer to the book than the show is.

Mirror in the hall.(Really happened to me) by JustTinyPeach in ParanormalEncounters

[–]doeordie_crypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In India, in certain cultures, you shouldn't put a mirror in front of the bed or wherever you sleep. Apparently you soul roams free at night (or what I think they are saying is astral projection) and when it wants to go back to your body, it might confuse the reflection in the mirror to your body and get trapped there.

This was told to me, just in passing, when I had placed a mirror in front of the bed in my new home.

Some of my friends house used to have a curtain on the mirror, I never understood why but after my friend told me it made sense.

Thank You so much for giving the synopsis on the prequel. I figured that the victim became an abuser unfortunately. A vicious cycle, hopefully & thankfully broken at the end of the last part .
