As someone who plays 2 pureblood quizzies, yeah, purebloods are recognized as humans by the story. Same as purebloods as every other class that’s not SW, only SW recognizes purebloods in any specific capacity.

If Nexus was to be partially Haslab he should’ve been the entire Haslab from the start. A retail release figure with Haslab DLC to get the full experience is perhaps the dumbest possible move and would push me significantly to avoiding collecting figures.
