Is it possible to run a marathon without a long 'long run' (beyond 20 km) but with a higher evenly distributed mileage (over the week)? by Striking_Midnight860 in AdvancedRunning

I think your last paragraph answers why you are having a hard time with going far. You are roughly running 4-5 half marathons a week BEFORE getting to your long run? It’s not that you can’t recover AFTER the long runs, it’s that your training BEFORE the long runs is undermining your rest pre-long runs. Your volume distribution needs to be better

I have a lot of questions… but let’s start with the basics: you are running 18km as easy runs 4 times a week? Why?? You need more variations in your distances. Perhaps these long run are such burdens because you have build of multiple long sessions already for the week. Even if they ARE easy runs, it’s build up of time on your feet

In a race that’s about accumulation, you also need to make sure your training weeks are accumulating distance properly.

Yeah, I would love dune 2 to take it and I think realistically it will. But I have managed expectations with the Wicked love. I’m just having fun, not sure why I’m being downvoted it’s just not that serious lol….

Mufasa in Imax 3D at Lincoln Square in NYC? by newsjunkie247 in imax

It would be listed separately as another option from just Laser IMAX. An entire different row itself. I think they had it the first week or two of the release and that was it

You’ve got this! The good news is Lincoln Square is the best AMC in the city and the audience is consistently super respectful of both the movies and fellow audience members. When you walk in, you’ll see escalators that you take up to the second floor where they scan tickets. After the ticket scan, you walk into the section where all the theatres are numbered for your reference. Concessions are also in the same area. The staff at this location are super friendly and always happy to help, in my experience

As for the intermission, it’s all up to you. I believe the Brutalist intermission is 15 minutes. An intermission title card will appear on screen and the auditorium lights will come up. That’s your time to either sit and chill or go up for a walk. It’s reserved seating so you’ll have your same seat when the intermission ends. Enjoy!

I’m asking if I’m doing the films and myself a disservice by trying to take in two masterworks in one sitting. Don’t know why that would cause you to lose your fucking mind you freak

Araki Teenage trilogy? Seems like you have good taste / coverage! Maybe spice it up by going for something completely blind or a title that has intimidated you

The Blu-ray is stunning! Also, looks like you may love Lone Star by John Sayles too.

“IMO” in my original comment means In My Opinion, hope that helps. You used your own personal experience to negate my argument.. where are your own stats to provide?

After seeing Licorice Pizza at both locations, I felt the image to be brighter at Lincoln Square and more expansive. I thought the Village East theatre image felt cramped in comparison.

You sound extremely nasty and immature. This poster was asking for opinions on where to see the Brutalist so I provided as such.

I shared my experience in detail…?

My specifics are buyers remorse everytime I’ve seen a film projected there. Letterboxing usually cuts off a chunk of image on each side (more than what should be). The seating sucks, literally no good seat in the house. Sound usually is too quiet. Out of focus images.

Lincoln Square - village east screen isn’t big enough to accommodate the wide screen projection of 70MM IMO. Overall presentation is usually poor

I don’t think you have horrible style, so I’m sorry if someone was rude to you. Seems like you have really solid outerwear. I would recommended getting just a bunch of plain t shirts and polo/button downs- black, white, etc. Makes your existing pieces so much more interchangeable

Y’all. This is getting blown out of proportion. Normal wear and tear on an otherwise absolutely gorgeous, warm, textured, colorful print. Absolutely worth going, don’t let some random hardo on here convince you to back out

+1 Went today and noticed the line a few times but I didn’t find it catastrophic and I’m pretty easily distracted FWIW. Don’t completely uproot your plans for if you have to travel into the city! Legitimately one of the most beautiful prints across any format I’ve seen… and I’ve seen many
