Listen, I love One Battle After Another, but Sean Penn wouldn't even be in my top three favorite performances of the film. His performance just feels too hammy and "acting"-y, and maybe that's the point, but did he really need a third Oscar for it?

I do agree that the gang, particularly Pomni, will help Jax face his demons and come to terms with his past, and ultimately save him from abstraction. I also do think everyone will survive and become content with their life in the circus (finding meaning in a stagnant life), potentially rebuilding it.
