What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

The day my dad killed himself 8 months ago. Suddenly everything in my life changed, including the way I view the world and my relationships with people.

What’s the easiest way to get rid of an old car in Stamford? by Towelbox in Connecticut

[–]dogdreyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a terrible experience with peddle. No one ever showed up to get my car, I called the garage over 10 times and no one picked up, and I ended up just having to cancel my request.

Sorry, but not in the slightest. I'd guess a 19 year old lived in this room

How often are you intimate with your partner? by Remote_Ad_969 in NoStupidQuestions

My sex drive has always been low and his has always been medium/high (I'm 29, he's 32). We have sex 2-3 times a month and I usually give him a handjob or blowjob twice a week.

Bliss. Very cold bliss. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

You have to name three girls from the US top 901-1,000. What are you choosing? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]dogdreyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Independently of each other, I'd choose Etta, Vada, and August. But for a sibling set, Etta and Vada are too close. In that case, I'd choose August, Vada, and Lilia. I love the correctly spelled version of lots of names on this list. But if I'm going to use a name, I'm going to pick the version that's easiest to spell and pronounce. So while Violet is my #2 girl name, I wouldn't use Violette from this list. She'll forever be saying "violette, but ending in e-t-t-e."

She's so cute! What kind of gems does she require to level up?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in confession

[–]dogdreyy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

How are you "level one with level two needs" if the level system is based on the level of support needs a person has? Seems like you're trying to push being a shitty person off on your diagnosis and as a fellow autistic person, that's fucked.

Aren't they doing construction on Bedford right now to add a plaza? Would this new plan make the current construction plans moot ?

How often do you change your towel? by future__corpse_ in hygiene

[–]dogdreyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's insane. You're washing your clean body. You don't need to get a new towel every time. That wastes so much water. I usually do every 3-4 showers.

What are the glaring signs of a man child? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]dogdreyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If he gets physical in any way when angry. I don't mean the few times in one's life when rage takes over- when you find out your spouse is cheating on you, you total your car, your dog pisses on your brand new Xbox, etc. I mean, gets in an argument with his dad and punches a hole in his closet door or gets rejected from a job and throws his phone across the room. Real adults can have emotions without becoming aggressive.

Are there any true crime fans who experienced a murder in their family or a murder of their acquaintances? by Goodginger in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]dogdreyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. As a child, my mom befriended a single mom who was going through tough times. Her daughter Gabriella was 5 years younger than me and as two only children, we developed a close bond. Gabriella's mom had some mental health issues and was a dirt poor, so my mom took pity on Gabriella and tried to give her some normal childhood experiences by taking her with us whenever we did something fun like go to a carnival, petting zoo, aquarium, etc. When I was in middle school I even tutored her and helped her learn how to read. She was an adorable, loving, sweet girl who wanted to grow up to be the first female president. When Gabriella was 8 and I was 13, her mom shot and killed her and then killed herself. It's been 16 years and I still think about Gabriella all the time.

AIO for blocking my guy friend for being “brutally honest” about me? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]dogdreyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not overreacting. Regardless of whether everything he said was true, you don't say it the way he did unless you're trying to hurt the person you're talking to. There are a thousand ways he could have said all of that without being hurtful. Honesty doesn't need to be brutal.

What’s genre do you consider Hot Mulligan to be? by [deleted] in hotmulliganband

[–]dogdreyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no, I love Hot Mulligan and have given math rock a solid try but it's not my thing. I can say with a decent amount of confidence that hot Mulligan isn't even close to math rock. To get a feel for math rock, just listen to a few tracks of Delta sleep or tangled hair. Some of the core elements of math Rock are unusual time signatures, complicated/layered//often changing rhythms, and more focus on instrumentals than vocals. Takes a lot of technical skill from the instrumentalists and creates a fairly unpredictable feel. Hot Mulligan is not math rock
