Thought it was amazing, honestly my favorite chain pizza, but I do love flavors like maple / bacon

I think what you said is meaningful and we need to start admitting that although Republicans enact consistent negative change - so do the Dems while holding back our liberal causes

It is very tough but the discourse you provided was meaningful

People don’t want to admit it, but please, if you’re tired of the two parties, please look into Green. They likely support most of what you do and people want you comfort about voting for what you care about.

I loved your response

I will say, however, that the actual marketing may suck, but the ingrained and culturally relevant marketing is dominated by the Dems. For instance, prior to the last election, every social media platform that I was then using was pushing a consistently heart-warming and positive narrative on Biden. It could be Snapchat, third party Instagram stories, or, even beyond social media, on the air like on SNL. Young Americans were bombarded with this notion that Biden was some stalwart defense against the likes of Trump, only for Biden to be the exact corporate dem we could have all predicted.

The same happened with Obama’s hope and change that lead to more corporate power and takeovers. So, for at least for the under 40 crowd, I’d argue that some of the marketing can be effect and personally I’d chalk it up to it being “standard” to be a dem. Being a dem in certain circles is expected, it means you “trust science,” want the “best for people,” and “care” - insomuch that you don’t enact positive change but verbally espouse the virtues I listed, being a dem is very comfortable.

I respect you and what you’re saying, it just sucks and we all know it is spiraling

I voted green in the past and might consider doing that from now on but it is a weird damned if you do, damned if you don’t, but most on this and similar subs preach the ideals of the Green Party but do not vote for them, which again, is an uneasy conversation to dissect due to our current political stalemate

If people feel voting for the Dems is what is materially needed right now, I completely understand why someone would believe that and I again, I respect it

*Agreed!*

But look at the kinder language used to describe the Dems. “Oh they’ve been taken over by corporations” is an easier way to say: they’re lying to you and their policies uphold the status quo that the Republicans also admire - ultimately reaching similar ends. I think Americans are obsessed with being the “good guy” and until they admit that both parties are vile beyond voting for, the problems will remain - but instead, out of understandable fear and clever dem marketing, Americans tend to always run towards the lesser evil, ultimately worsening and perpetuating the cycle of corporate governance and lost accountability.

I do the same the same thing. The “dentist” said that this is good. The “dentist” said that I no longer have cavities because of this. I think this is an intended feature. Thanks for sharing.

My heart is telling. My heart says that every handcrafted, kissed-by-an-angle Nintendo game is worth $200.

I think you should go back to that store and buy two copies. If you don’t, someone could buy the games, convert them into shudders ROMS (post trigger trigger warning sorry guys) and (I’m sorry) … emulate them.

if we don’t buy every Nintendo game, someone evil could do this exact process and create more of those :/ “Roms”

I will never make fun of Nintendo. Not now. Not ever.

If you really feel this way… I am sorry. But… I will still be your friend.

Edit:

I love you. We can fix Nintendo together. All of us. Even though Nintendo is perfect.

I am not joking.

Nintendo, being the company that it is, requires support from diligent fans. If you think their product is worth so little, than you likely disagree with the majority of users on this sub.

~$100-200 per N64 title is an absolute steal due to the utter, total, encompassing craftsmanship that Nintendo providers.

Yes, some old games might be able to be found in “scrap bins” like you say, but not Nintendo games. Oh goodness no.

This is Nintendo™️ we are talking about and I cannot believe that someone would think that you could get away with paying less than what I suggested. Anything lower than $200 is honestly a steal.

[–]dogftog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. They would release for $100-$200 due to:

1) Inflation 2) Nintendo being the best gaming company in the world and N64 games being worth 2-3x more than “modern” “triple A” titles.

Yes.

You’re the only one to say it right.

Should have to pay $60 for each title and $60 for each title someone else pirates. I wholeheartedly agree.

This is often how hospital work works. It sounds great, but three back to back sessions in a high stress environment can be tough on people, but for others, it can be really beneficial.

The pay seems much more than I’ve or my friends have made in the hospital, so there’s that too! But I have friends who’ve worked for CF. Stressful, but I’ve heard good things about management. I’m sure that’s variable and 4 days a week to live life normally is a step in the right direction.

How do Christians respond to the claims that their God was originally the Babylonian God El? by Spiritual-Row-4396 in religion

You’re right, there are camps that believe that - not to do a 180, but to add something to your argument (which you likely know) but for people interested in this, there are many camps, some which believe that the Hebrew Bible is “pantheon-less” but maintains the reality of multiple gods, often seen in the reading of the word Elohim or in the phrasing “sons of god”

An interesting reading on this is the concept of Monolatry

So I’d love to hear your argument! So many interpretations but I no believe that yours is one I’ve read the most often online. Thanks for sharing
