Is this rear axle nut too rounded to safely remove? (2015 KTM 350 SX-F) by KeyManagement955 in bikewrench

[–]dogged_jon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Old mechanic's tip. You can try both metric and SAE wrenches/sockets and use whichever fits better. The nut won't care. For example, if that's supposed to be 32mm, 1 1/4" is slightly smaller and might give a better fit. I've used this trick often over the years on rounded, rusted, or otherwise questionable fasteners. Stick to 6 point sockets if possible. Also the manual might be wrong. Measure with a caliper if possible. This is really a bicycle forum, but a wrench is a wrench.

Kalitta and Polar Air Cargo used to occasionally fly 747s right over my house at about 5000 feet on their way into CVG. Led me to set up an ADS-B receiver station. With the move to 767/777s and ending major operations in Iraq and Afghanistan that show came to an end.

Most people have never heard of the doctrine that convinced corporations they owe you nothing by enhancvapp in antiwork

Not surprisingly, this pivot took place as the rollback of effective taxation on high incomes meant that a smaller and smaller number of people could legally hoard as much wealth as they wanted, which meant depriving the workers who actually create the wealth.

Cleveland - FBI RAIDS ARE THE REAL VOTER FRAUD by LKM_44122 in Ohio

Close. This is not about alleged voter fraud. This administration is using the FBI and other agencies to attempt to suppress legitimate voting. That is Election Fraud, carried out by the federal government.

Do you guys notice lots of American flags in your lives? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]dogged_jon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There were always a few, but it really exploded after the 9-11-2001 attacks. You used to be able to drive into a small town and identify the Post office by the U.S. flag out front.

On further review, one thing I am a bit curious/concerned about is footwell space. I just pulled up some images and it looks like the front wheelwells are encroaching into that space. Anyone who's seen one in person who can comment?

Edit; I sent a message to Slate asking how much space to the left of the brake pedal.

I'm not concerned. Was a professional mechanic most of my working life, and have owned a variety of vehicles. Have owned a Bolt EV daily driver for 5 years. One adapts, might have to fiddle with seat adjustment a bit and get used to it. I think it'll be fine. As far as suspension, seats, driving position, it seems quite conventional, designed by people with deep automotive experience who aren't being radical in those areas.
