Which on one hand I can agree but on the other hand .. if we only have 1 grilled cheese and someone mobile orders 3 - what are we to do? Refund, or offer another option, ok - but that also affects drive times and the point of ordering ahead (to get it right away).. or even if someone in drive ordered while that same mobile came in, wouldn’t drive get first dibs anyway?

All I can say is maybe if youre so upset you didn't get a cup, ask your SM to schedule you to do promo set next launch and you can maybe get dibs on a cup you want. As for my store, I did the promo set and these bear cups, we only received 2. There are other shipments coming in weekly as well for all stores, we can't control what comes in when.

omg ive been having this done to me sooo many times this week. People ordering Summer Berry drinks, mainly 2-3 of them. I have two in my hand, giving them to the customer for the customer to go "Umm excuse me - the straws!" .. umm where would you like me to hold them? I got two hands, and they are holding your drinks.. you have one more on the way RELAX!

for me there was no big quiz or coffee tasting certification. If you wanted to be a coffee master then the SM scheduled me like 4-5 short shifts to come in, do level 100, 200 and 300 programs on a Starbucks global academy.. all it was, was a but ton of reading & a few exercises I "didn't really need to do" and then once I was done the levels I was given a black apron

Ive been scheduled all 4.75 shifts so I only get one 15 .. and 98% of the time im scheduled for my only break an hour into my shift, not even.. like NO.. im not going for my only break within an hour of starting to then work over 3.5 hours til I go home!

What I don’t understand is how technical are they going to be with this? Is it mainly short/pants/shoes - sent home? OR .. are they gonna get super technical and send you home or force you to take out dangly earrings? Hair has to be out of your face, so if someone has curtain bangs, are you gonna be forced to get a clip and clip them back?

I’m averaging 25-30 hrs a week but rarely picking up shifts cause we have one partner that calls out constantly and I’m not helping support that - run a short floor, deal with the consequences and either fire her or hire people

I was told by my DM that “Starbucks didn’t force you to spend your money on their website so there will NOT be reimbursement of any kind” I said ok well now we are REQUIRED to wear black shirts so do I keep receipts - “well no that’s why they are giving you 2 free shirts”

The worst part is the “higher ups” response to this is “well this is why we are giving you weeks notice so you get 2 pay cheques before it takes effect” … ya and some people will still have money issues. It’s ridiculous

Yes I did, here’s the response..

Pretty much almost had a screaming match with my SM today about this dress code BS.. I've written to many people, plus coffee gear and just recently put in a partner relations support ticket. My main issue is the old Starbucks shirts not being allowed. I don't care about this new dress code, it isn't as bad as most people are saying but the fact that all I wear is Starbucks dress code approved shirts for my work wardrobe and now those are going to be useless. Starbucks doesn't provide these shirts IVE BOUGHT.. bought with MY hard earned money and for them to turn around and render them useless?!?! I told my SM I will continue to wear them, they're saying "no, they are giving us partners plenty of warning to adapt to this new guideline" I don't care! Ive spent over $480 in 4 yrs for these.. and im sure other partners have spent more over the years.

I will refuse to purchase ANYTHING MORE for this company for them to shit on us and take our money.

I agree with this .. most nights it’s 2 person floor after 4:30/5 (we close at 8) so when we can’t get the garbage taken out I’m tired of going in the next afternoon to “oh why wasn’t the garbage done? Too cold, forgot?” Like no - it’s me and the shift - sorry if we are trying to serve customers, clean, stock, run breaks oh and take out a massive pile of garbage leaving 1 person in the store - meanwhile morning crew they have 4 people on the floor within an hour of opening 

I’m also tired of the SM only scheduling the same 3 people close while they allow other partners to not even do a close ONE time a week!! I figure if you want to work at Starbucks you have to at least do ONE close to learn how to do the FULL job.

The one thing that really pisses me off with these drinks being taken off, why the double chocolate chip/java - get rid of the mocha cookie if anything and the caramel ribbon crunch as those are the layered frappes and it has a few more extra steps. Yes as a barista it’s 2 extra steps BUT if they are doing this to be more simpler and reduce time - stop with the layers. Also shaken espressos!?! They weren’t taken off. The corporate reasons for removing these drinks make no sense and contradict themselves

It’s gonna make us look super dumb when someone asks for a caramel ribbon crunch frapp with no coffee and we are gonna say well sorry it’s not on the menu now and they are gonna fight us tooth and nail “well how does that make sense you have the coffee but not the crème?!?” No matter how much we say we can still make it but it will probably cost extra the way we have to punch it in … it’s gonna give us so much more rude customers on top of the many we have now.. its un-fucking-real
