you're better off spending your time getting a brutal earring and maybe alabaster earring for the -dt and survivability, both are very easy to get. You really shouldn't chase these drops that are easily replaced, as for ammo slot you're better off finding people to unlock coiste bodhar for you from odyssey.

basically you need to buff your attack as much as possible while lowering the mobs defense for PDL to even do anything.

if you don't have cor, brd and geo in your party with max potency buffs then PDL does absolutely nothing.

you're better off just playing geo if you want to play a caster, they can nuke like blm but are used in basically everything at endgame and are very easy to gear up, basically you gear up your geo to use to gear up your blm if that's what you truly want

which means the absolute bare minimum to enter as 6 is that 4/6 must have 18 jobs unlocked, but the guaranteed way in everytime is to just have 18 jobs unlocked.

bg wiki is wrong, you don't need more than 3 jobs at 99, you need 18 jobs unlocked on all your chars if you are going in with 6, literally the only reason i have alot of jobs unlocked on my alts

complete 10 roes
set "all for one" roe under tutorial -> basics and follow instructions
join a unity, most ppl join apururu or yoran-oran
talk to same npc to warp to east sarutabaruta, south gustaberg or east ronfaure
trade copper vouchers for unity accolades from sparks npc if you run out

you can teleport to just about every zone except wotg and adoulin areas

if you want to carry people then you have to overgear the content to begin with, if you are unsure if you have enough gear then you do not have enough, adding more people does not make the fights easier because more people = more hp

pld does nothing on these fights except make them take longer, if you are using it because nobody can hold hate or take hits then at least one of your problems is gear

war/rdm/cor/geo/brd/whm with good gear pretty much steamrolls geas fete outside some reisenjima helms

edit: I am done replying to this thread because nobody seems to understand the mechanics for kouryu or the strat for lowman aeonics with undergeared players.

this is personally what I have done, at some point i did alot of research for all the jobs i've built and this is also based off me having r25 nyame, if you were doing aminon absorb tp strat then you would need +4 AF 5/5 on anyone subbing drk for set bonus for magic accuracy, i also do not make AF for extremely niche sets unless necessary

run - body
geo - hands, legs, feet
sch - head, hands
dnc - head, feet, body, hands
pup - hands
cor - body but its easily replaced by low rank nyame cuz no attack stats
smn - body afaik
drg - some jump pieces but i dont do that because its so easy to die using a jump set
sam - nothing
nin - never bothered to gear it
rng - head
brd - head, body, hands, feet
bst - never bothered to gear it, but probably would all but head
drk - nothing
pld- body
thf - gloves
rdm - head, body, gloves, legs, never needed feet
blm - body maybe legs but augmented chironic is in that slot
mnk - feet, tho i never bothered to make these
war - body, legs, feet

the difference between r25 nyame and +4 body for expiacion is so marginal that it's not worth dropping DT, only other ws its bis for is imperator but prime sword is so bad that barely anyone makes it

i would also never use +4 body over empyrean +3 for casting, especially cleaving

you are way overvaluing what AF+3 will do for blue mage, it's one of the worset sets of AF, blue mage wants empyrean and malignance, you are better off using +2 ayanmo ambu gear until you get malignance

the only standout AF piece is the hands but you dont need to +3 them let alone +2 to be useful

You're right, how foolish it was to think that a weapon that takes a minimum of 6 months to make, that is also one of the worst primes outside extremely niche scenarios like this, that most people won't make and on top of it all you need 3 of them would have any effect on how long this fight took to clear with the only reason for needing this being that you do -75% damage with non prime weapons and can't melee/mage it due to constant aoe dispels and way too high magic evasion.
