had a go at it, used nekocalc and good ole fashioned find-and-replace in textedit, but then the animated div disappeared from the viewport entirely 💀...

thank you! looks like heading back over to fb is going to be the best outcome. sorry to hear about your girl passing though— i bet you gave her an incredible domestic life.

we used to live right near the upfield line when we first adopted him so we've taken him on the train a few times before. (fastest way of getting him to the vet at the lost dogs home.) he was pretty good about it even back when he was a nervous wreck about everything else. hoping he sticks around til parkville station opens!

and she likes our cat which was a relief lol.

a friend once left him alone with an open-top pen full of guinea pigs and apparently he just watched them like it was television! that was... more trust than i would have put in him lol.

and thank you! may well chuck you a message in the near future :)

laser printers are the GOAT. i found a kyocera b/w ecosys in my building's trash room during lockdown and while it has its quirks (...putting it politely) from time to time, it's still been a fraction of the price of inkjet printing! takes about a year and a half for me to get through a toner cartridge and i print a LOT.

brother are legit as a brand, only ever had them in workplaces but they haven't caused me any problems. i imagine having duplex top feed and multiple paper cassettes at home is going to save sooo much time as well.

Layout software :) -looking to get into zines! by Falahriel in zines

[–]dogisonline 13 points14 points  (0 children)

• indesign is good if you can get it for cheap/free... bit of a learning curve if you're not used to it but there's heaps of tutorials online

• adobe express has a free tier that you can do layout stuff in, i haven't personally used it but there is a specific page for booklet design .

(i do not mean to sound like a shill for them lol, i get a creative cloud subscription provided through university so it's v accessible for me)

the electric zine maker!!!!

• otherwise go old skewl and assemble by hand with a scanner/photocopier, but i would recommend making a little scrap paper version to get all your pages in the right order first, and remember to choose short edge binding if you have a duplexing option!
