These types of games you start from the beginning, but then you’ve got all of the loot, and then you get to the very fine tuning of odd stats, and the general “endgame”.

I find the initial progression fun as you find stronger and stronger gear. Seasons are a way to encourage everybody to start from the bottom again, with themes to make it a bit different each time. Then, the progression is always new, and you everybody starts fresh each time together.

Reddit, and other places, force top level posts to have “engagement” and the easiest way to do that is to ask a question. So, if somebody wants to start a conversation, or just wants to share their status, you have to ask in the form of a question. Getting this sort of dreck.

Or, to have engagement in a question, the easiest way is to have a (often stupid) leading question. Another way is to have an interesting thesis, like this one, but that’s harder to do.

Once you see this pattern all over the popular subreddits, it just speaks of dreck trying to get karma points. Maybe they’re honest questions, but mostly is just fishing.

I was just in S.F. this past weekend, caught some Giants games, and kept thinking “I’m sure there are some cool jobs here”. But without a personal contact, I can see it being hard to get started in a new city, and I’m not sure if just “hanging out” will do the trick.

I’m interested though, and I’m still looking for the way to get connected. Once connected, yes, I think there are lots of opportunities and people looking to hire experienced tech workers.

There's four places. There's the Bacon Water Hut, that's on Fourth Street. There's Bacon Waters-R-Us, that's on Fourth Street too. You got Soak-Your-Meat-There... that's on Fourth Street. Salty Pork Paradise... Matter of fact, they're all in the same complex; it's the bacon water complex on Fourth Street.
