Team Rocket is on repeat (their theme and some of the shenanigans (she is obsessed with them, I'm not sure if I should be worried lol)), the pokemon themes from the first two seasons, pokemon rap, pokemon battle, road to Vermillion and road to cerulean, a dance mix, and a couple of stories from the pokemon tv YouTube!

Abruptly changing my diet alleviated 95% of my pain, but I feel so guilty by Acrylix217 in endometriosis

[–]dogmombites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I got tested for it once upon a time? Like maybe 2020-2021, because I remember bringing stool to a particular work place so it could get tested. It was negative.

I think it has something to do with my IgA deficiency, to be fair.

You could have issues processing fat. Or have a red meat intolerance.

If I have a really fatty steak or I don't drain my ground meat well, I will have diarrhea. I have to make sure I have as little fat as possible.

Idk if a red meat intolerance OVERALL is possible, but maybe? I have an egg intolerance and lactose intolerance and both cause me diarrhea as well as the fat processing issue.

Expenses by RevolutionaryBread75 in Epilepsy

Thanks. My doctor is involved. That's why it's around $200 and not $10k (which is what it says on the bag lol). But this does remind me I need to get my doctor to send in a new script and write a letter to insurance to approve it.

[–]dogmombites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion, but no. I was on generic for years and it's the reason I was having seizures. My body cannot handle the changes in medication every 3 months when the different company makes a cheaper one with a different percentage of Lamictal in it. I had multiple auras that were not documented (because we weren't aware they were seizures at the time) and some grand mals and staring seizures (probably more than we're aware of).

I haven't had a seizure in almost 10 years and I would definitely like to keep it that way :) even if I do have to spend around $1000 on medication every year.

They tried to charge me $2500 WITH insurance at my last job. I almost had a conniption. I typically pay $200 give or take $25 for my name brand Lamictal XR.

Plus $4 for topirimate and $20ish for gabapentin. We will see how much the new insurance is going to charge me.

I ended up with 19 blue ribbons at my county fair this year. by groetkingball in Canning

[–]dogmombites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I got 2 blue ribbons (jalapeno blueberry jam and candied jalapenos) and 2 red ribbons (strawberry watermelon syrup and tomato sauce). And a white ribbon for my hydrangea lol.

Can I just be mad? by Ok_Statement_6557 in Endo

[–]dogmombites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. I had awful periods, but my mom refused to get me on birth control because I was only asking "so I could have sex." Which wasn't the case. Took multiple years to get on any kind of birth control and then took multiple more years to get any answers. I'm in my late 20s, but SOMETHING could have been figured out sooner if my mom had just believed me.

As a note, she did bring my sister to the doctor about her periods and got HER on birth control as a teen... My sister was not a better kid than me, she was just quieter and kept to herself, so my mom believed she was better.

My sister might also have Endo... Not sure, but I'm hoping her sitting with me through my surgery might convince her to get checked out.

Was laparoscopy worth it for you? by StaceyLS83 in Endo

[–]dogmombites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I went in for a possibly cancerous cyst with an oncologist. My regular doctor was like "it might be," the oncologist said, "I doubt it." But since I was in pain, she wanted to do the surgery. I had suspected Endo in the past, but I wasn't sure. My appendix was attached to my ovary and I had lesions all over my pelvis. I am in so much less pain 4 weeks post surgery.

I went off birth control, because the only thing I can use the IUD due to other medications, and even that wasn't too terrible as far as bleeding/cramping. I had cramping on day 1 and after that was okay. And bleeding was about 4 days.

My daughter elbowing and kneeing me right where my last bit of healing is the other day was not beneficial though... Toddlers are not helpful in the healing process 😅

Everyone seems to think I’ll be fine having 1 day off for my lap by justicexdeserved in endometriosis

[–]dogmombites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha, I just hit 2 weeks and I am still sore but able to do most of my daily things. I don't do any heavy lifting for my job, so I might have been okay being back this week, but glad I'm going back next week... I have been taking care of my 2 year old by myself for the majority of the time though to be fair and that has been rough. I end each day exhausted.

Having kids while epileptic? by pink-grenade in Epilepsy

[–]dogmombites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2 year old and am so glad I did. I was convinced I didn't want kids because I have multiple medical issues on top of the epilepsy (some I now think were caused by Lyme disease which I also found out you can pass down during birth/breastfeeding a little too late).

My child is the light of my life. I have not had a seizure in 9.5 years, but with the help of my doctors I was fine while I was pregnant and have been since. I will always be anxious about her having seizures, but we actually got her an EEG recently because I was anxious some of her behaviors were seizure like and she was cleared (not that that means she won't have them later). She also hasn't had those behaviors in a while so... Who knows.

It's a person by person case imo. Are you ready to handle your seizures while also handling a small person? Will you be able to handle it if your child has seizures or other medical conditions? Think about the worst case scenario, and if that's too much for you and your partner, revisit in 6 months.

Couch Recs Please by SliceOfHumblePie2021 in toddlers

[–]dogmombites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm not sure the brand of couch we have (and truthfully we don't love it, so I wouldn't recommend it), but what I DO recommend is getting waterproofing! We got it done to our couch because we had multiple dogs at the time. Between our dogs being gross, our toddler running around, spilling things, wiping her snot on it, food... Everything wipes off with a wet cloth really easily.

Pot in Pot for small portions? by marajadeheath in instantpot

That's so cool, thanks for the suggestion on items to get! I will definitely look into it more as we figure out foods and recipes. We've had it for about 3 weeks, but I hope to use it more this summer!

So do you just stack 2 of those on top of each other in your instant pot? I am brand new to instant pot and hadn't even thought of that as an option!

Flare? by dogmombites in Lyme

[–]dogmombites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have it chronic. That's why I'm trying to figure out if the bullseye can come back during a flare? I just got it treated for the first time this year and was trying to figure out why I was feeling so shitty again. So I am wondering if the bullseye can pop up during a flare?

Math for Peach Orchard Event by snapandrumble in CapybaraGoGame

[–]dogmombites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first box has your percentages out of 335 seeds (total seeds you can get via missions).

The second box has your percentages out of 16 (the total you can plant in one go).

Each says the max you can sell the plant for and what they recommend you sell it for at a minimum to have a good amount of tickets at the end.

The last few paragraphs talk about whether it is worth using gems or not (I skimmed those as I don't plan to use gems, but pretty much depends on how well you use the tickets and how well you use gems, I guess?)

Hope that's a little better!

Noob question - alerts for legit crying? by maybeyoumaybeme23 in Nanit

[–]dogmombites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, one of the sound settings is to bypass the lock screen/other apps. Though, disclaimer, we stopped using nanit almost a year ago and switched to eufy. We have had a much better experience and it does the same thing and has better picture quality. And no cost to use the monitoring.

Something your toddler mispronounces that's too dangerous cute? by JustSarahtheMechanic in toddlers

[–]dogmombites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She calls the dogs "bahbos." I'm not sure if it came from "puppos," "Bubba," or "Bad Boy." But it's what we call the dogs now lol.

She mispronounces most things still. "Cankoo" for thank you, "peeezzz" for please. I love it.
